Just Wondering.....

    What are some other good games like freelancer? I have dark star one and never played it, but anywho just wondering if anyone has played any other games like freelancer. Thanks in Advance!

    I believe what he means is that, in our hearts, there will never be a game we feel the same towards as Freelancer.

    Tried Freespace out a little myself, but it didn't seem to have the same mix / feel of FPS + Space Flier that FL has

    Until I cracked the disk, Freespace: the Great War was very good. I really miss it, but, with Mac, no chance now. :P

    thanks for the help guys, I knew one person in here would have to say freelancer is the only game!!! but to the rest of you thanks for your help.

    Heard a minor rumor, that it the open source aspect is taking the turn towards a new game, not a squeal.

    You might want to have a look at Jumpgate evolution, there is actually a signing up for the beta. Haven't played it yet, but there was an article in the germna GameStar stating that there are some similarities with Freelancer. It is an ONLINE-Game though, but afaik not as EVE.


    My personal favorite (after many years of happylancing :)): X3. The "only" problems are: the plot is crap, and you need at least 24 hours just to get into the game and its mechanics. But once you are there you will never get out again ;) . The economy is dynamic, the universe is huge (but the systems cannot be compared with FL).
    Main difference: in X3 you will command a fleet, hundreds (or more) ships instead of just your own, you will build stations, shipyards and so on.


    Last word to Dark Star One. Big deception. Boring after a while, never finished it.
