  • We will do everything we can, to make this mod balanced, but that´s one of the hardest things in a game. I think, that we can really start with the work, when GAG has finished the universe map and all other things, he has to do (list of planets, ships, stations, etc.). Then he only has to give me the map and I, for my part, will start with the world design. At the moment, my only &quot;fear&quot; is, that there could be a bigger problem in designing the universe......but let´s see, what the future brings! <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> <b>Dryx-Thelon </b>

  • i emailed GAG asking if i could help him compile a list of stations planets and stuff in each systems. no reply. i just hope he has an accurate list, but i don´t doubt he knows what he´s doing. i´m still eager to help in any way possible for this mod, whether it be ship stats, size, crew, weaponry, i dont´ mind, i;m sure i can help in most fields. please consider it

  • email? i posted this in the SW ships thread too, but just in case this applies to the mod itself and not the ships, here it is: or weapons, are certain green colored ones gonna be included with the imperial fighters and red colored lasers in the rebels´ ships in the mod? i think that weapons should be restricted for fighters. perhaps for frieghters weapons can be flexible.   • sombody wrote a thing about deleting the liberty bretonia etc i dont like it because if we do this we could also create a new game. just build a new sector wich is the doorway to the freelancer universe and the star wars universe. if sombody would do this the game will be used as microsoft originali wants. they don´t created a game that is moddable so we could just delete the universe and make a new one i am only atacking the people who want to kill me but what if they kill me first

  • the point of a TC is to TOTALLY convert the game into somethign new and fresh. i dont think they honestly care about what we do, as long as the only people who get the money from this game are them. completely making a star wars universe would be awesome. liberty, bretonia, etc can stay in the fl universe.

  • At this moment it is rather cloudy if the SW TC will replace the entire FL universe, replace to a certain extent or as a complete add on. Also there is the question about how much .dll files we are able to edit so the mod will work with upcoming patches, and within ´agreeable´ extent by DA and MSGS. Its a rather complicated issue as well at the players level, not everyone feel the same way about Starwars Univerise: some might find it more fun as an add on and expand the FL experience, some might go for hardcore authenticity of SW. Personally, i rather have it has an add on to whats already exisits in FL.This game has been under development for years, and after playing it i believe it dose have its merits. The developers did a pretty good job making this game, and its worth keeping it. Recently, i have constructed a simple new system in FL o use as a testbed for upcoming sw new factions, ships, ship formations, bases, items, missions, cosmic effect and such.(kinda like the the matrix construct program <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>).   • I´m no die-hard SW fan but I kinda´ agreed with Siddious on this one. I think it would become really messy if you guys went and mixed SW and FL universes together. What I am a die-hard fan of is complete universes that has a &quot;red line&quot; in them and work out well. I believe that SW has just that and this is one of the reasons that I am very excited about this mod. Apart from what i said above keep in mind that i *do* realize that I´m not a part of the mod-team and as such has no say whatsoever in how its gonna´ end up. Just throwin´ in my $0.02

  • rapid brings up a good point. the fl universe isn´t without its high points. however, i would think that since this is a star wars mod, if you arne´t getting rid of the fl universe, at least put the star wars one in the center of the game. in other words, replace systems like NY, california, texas, etc. another reason i believe that the mod should be completely star wars would be the strength inconsistancies among fl ships and star wars ships. fl ships such as the titan would be far too powerful for star wars ships to fight against. by just adding star wars things on, people can just use a titan, eagle, sabre or hammerhead (or even fl light fighters as they would also be too strong for star wars ships to take on) and be a dominating force. this would completely make the whole point of the mod void. i am assuming that the star wars ships will be made accurate in weaponry and defense. if they are made just for appearance, and not accuracy, then it shouldn´t be a problem. otherwise, they would be fodder for any fl ship. fl ships take a lot of punishment, mainly because of the nanobots and shield batteries, which make battles long and often frustrating. star wars ships tend to be destroyed after only a few hits, either because their weapons are very powerful, or their hulls and shields are very weak. either way, having both star wars ships and fl ships in the same mod would not be very well balanced. it´s not my decision, but i´ve put a lot of thought into how this mod should be done to make it as well recieved and practical as possible. i know i´m not part of the team, but i´m sure others agree with me. but i know the modders will do what they think is best. this mod has the potential of being one of the best for any space shooter game. Anyway, back on topic, I think this should indeed be a TC, with as much SW stuff as we can do. This would mean far fewer weapons, shields, and other equipment. P.S. AND HERE&quot;S ANOTHER! if you want to put the death star into the mod, replace a moon of an imperial world with it. retexture it, and put a docking ring. AND ANOTHER! do the same with Centerpoint Station. i know that station isn´t completely like a sphere, but its supposed to be bigger than the death star, so maybe make 3 planets be it (have 1 big one in the center, and 2 small ones clipping inside of it, so it looks like this: &lt;O&gt; which is the shape centerpoint is. i really hope the modders are looking at these. otherwise i´m posting a lot for nothing :-D Yep.   • hmm i think the nomad should be the uzhan vong or however its spelled because theyre really alike. both organic ships both want to destroy everything both unknown I love the nomad fighter, its so fun to fly.
