REY: My friend said hat he was flying around in a Liberty Juggernaught and he flew into the Zone 21 minefield in New York, and he and half of New York blew up. It´s probably a random freak out of Freelancer, but someone might want to try and reproduce it. UPDATE: Ok, I sent the updated files.   • i am downloading 4b right now and hopefully thew gunship turret crash is fixed. i finally figured oput those were the problem right before it was posted.

  • The shield thing works perfectly. Thx Reynen. Had a funny incident in B[TcH´s Server. I-Max and I met up, and we traded shots at each other for fun. He was in a BS, and he launched his Paralyzer missiles. Fort Bush and Baltimore Shipyard immidiately got mad at him and diced him up. Was very funny to watch. lol

  • That´s one thimg i wish we could change, to make it where the friendly´s didn´t get mad so easily. Bob, what I am mainly going to to is put in the encounters and trade routes that I already had planned out. Plus I was going to put &quot;special&quot; stuff into the sectors. Unless you turn off the missile turrets they automatically fire when you fire guns or missiles. I am not sure how to change this. I would bet money that your torpedos are going off and really making the people aroud mad hehe, even with the reduced blast radius. So turn off the missile turrets and use the hotkeys for them. That should help until I figure out why they fire with everything. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob: I did kind of intend that if you take on a base the entire area around it is going to want to take you out. Thats why I said it´s suicide in a fighter, well maybe not the valk hehe. Also whats up with the glitchy TIE??? Is there something I need to fix? Overall it seems like the fixed helped alot. Now to just nail down the tractor and cargo issues. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. The main problem I am having is I don´t know if these were ever meant to be in-game, so I am pretty much making everything from ground up scavaging what I can from files <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> At least most of it works right hehe.   • Yes it does have the shadow beam and 2 shadow torpedos <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> I use this to &quot;police&quot; up the area hehe. It can take out a nomad deathbringer like it was made out of paper. Like I said I was making is special to only server admins <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> It does have it´s disadvantages <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Not invulnverable either. You can click on the ship in-game and see it for yourself. I will put a stop to that thruster abuse. I was hopeing to avoid stuff like that. It´s an easy fix. I will increase the thuster capacity for the higher ships and increase the thruster usage for the large thruster so regular ships cannot use them Ex: Cruiser thsuter capcity at 5000, make it consume 1100 use a sec You will be able to use it for 5 seconds on a cruiser while if someone mounts this on a regular ship since it uses 1100 and they only have a max of 1000 capacity, they will not even be able to fire it hehe.   • My two bit is add new ships AFTER you have done all the other stuff that you wish to do. Otherwise I think you´ll be spending the rest of summer watching the kid and putting in a new ship every other week spending the week inbetween getting it balanced and bug free.

  • What we need is to get lots of people on a server, about 8 or 6 would be good, each one of them get battleships, devide into teams of 3-4 and just duke it out. I´m sorry but that would be totaly awsome. Unless the game explodes from the massive graphics being generated if everyone used beam guns.

  • hmmm cursory evidence would seem to show that cracked/hacked versions of FreeLancer may be incapable of running this Mod correctly just thought you might want to add that to your Readme, just so people don´t read it then ask you why so you can then tell them RTFM

  • Reynen, Great work on your HUGE mod. I´m a big fan of B5 and would love to see B5 ships in your mod, but I must say, I would rather see you work on &quot;mission&quot; stuff first before adding the ships. Even with the additions and modifications, I kind of get a little bored with just killing ships or installations or trading goods all the time and only for money. I wish there was a higher purpose to the missions and trading than just money. I´m not sure what all you have planned for the &quot;mission&quot; end of your mod, but I would like to see that area expanded to include spying, diplomatic, blockade running, or transforming &quot;pirates&quot; to &quot;freedom fighters&quot; and even &quot;hiring&quot; by corporations to escort ro ferry research and/or intel. Overall, I´d like the Freelance universe to be more &quot;dynamic&quot; than &quot;static&quot; where the player affects the universe (commodity values, bounty hunter assignments such as pursuing PC´s, becoming a pirate faction or police faction´s &quot;most wanted&quot;, etc.). There´s tons of ideas, but I hope your plans include that kind of dynamic universe that responds to players actions OR inactions in the universe. But that´s my vote. Keep up the excellent work.
