  • Computer programming, R/C Airplanes, and Magic: The Gathering (card game) :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek:

  • Sword collection ( all types ), Martial Arts ( not very good yet ), and story writing. Also I like to render short CGI films for my story's, about 4 to 6 min in length, working on something much larger so don't have time to make them any longer then that till I finish my novel.

  • I collect Flags and guns.

Eventually I plan to start collecting Military equipment like AT guns and Hvy Machine guns.

  • ruling Tawakalnistan, it's a full-time occupation. However the weekly executions of captured infidel rabbits in the "football stadium" that the UN kindly paid for and built is a pleasant diversion from the strain of guiding our advanced society.

I think a Cricket game would more exciting ;)

  • good job that there's a cricket ground next door then isn't it? We can watch the Tawakalni 1st XI as they practice with infidels for stumps. I play silly mid-off and the slips meself...

  • I would love to find a video/DVD on a cricket match, from start to finish. Amazon doesn't seem to carry them. :(

  • I doubt that yankee Amazon is likely to carry much in the way of cricket paraphernalia, you lot play that overblown rounders game that nobody else in the world bothers with! :) why you rebellious colonials class it as the "World" series I really have no idea (nor does anyone else)

Amazon UK however has a wide variety of cricket-related products, I highly recommend England's 2005 Ashes victory over Australia. But you might well find a full-blown Test match a wee bit, how shall I say, *slow* - prob better to see if you can get some one-day internationals on satellite or cable, I think that BBC America carries them, or some Twenty20 limited-overs games. They're q exciting and will probably be more accessible for you.

  • OK -
How about Formula 1 racing. Watch that race @ Silverstone today? Notice that there are RABBITS in the infeild? Fillipe Massa (if I spelled that right) wiped out for about the 10th time w/ 24 laps to go (raining) and a big ol' RABBIT jumped out of his hole and ran out of Massa's way just before he probably would have been off-the-road-kill. That was funny - and I guess they're everywhere in the UK??

"A little excitement in an otherwise dull day..."

  • oooo, was one of them 6 feet+ and drinking ginger beer? I wonder if I can get an add-on for GP4 that lets me kill rabbits at Silverstone too? perhaps now you see why rabbits are the enemeies of all right-thinking people?

sadly, Silverstone won't be the British Grand Prix circuit after 2010, it's too dilapidated and dangerous (it's hardly changed since the 60s, lack of investment) and Donington will be the new circuit - it's much more modern and has better facilities, and it's a lot easier to get to. And rathe rhandy for me. being a quick camel-ride down the A50. Shame though, Silverstone has the atmosphere and tradition, and i think its a great circuit, very challenging, really tests the drivers, but it just doesn't fit into the modern way of doing things :(

  • You and your umm, obsession over imaginary rabbits. the SPCA would catch you if you tried to harm one hair on their furry little heads. And if you tried, I would have a certain New Dworkiaite, with hold any further shipments of chocolate confections.

  • considering the large amounts of latinum that find their way to Noo Dworkia from Tawakalnistan via the Cayman Islands, and that we're into IndyCorp for several billion and given the current credit crunch IndyCorp can't easily afford for us to default on our loans, seeing as certain gilt-edged investment made vy the conglomerate turned out to be not quite so gilt-edged as they were made out to be, I don't think that our credit line or Hershey's imports are likely to be threatened anytime soon. Indycorp has to hit its growh targets in the unethical transactions dept this quarter and let's face it, Tawakalnistan's just about the most unethical place there is!

  • Yes,
It will be a sad thing for Silverstone to be out of the F1 loop, as you said -tradition and more. I've been following F1 forever, and they're out of the U.S. AGAIN, but - as long as they have a track in the UK and they don't get rid of Spa or Monaco I'll survive...

  • haven't really had the opportunity, comrade, work keeps me too busy and I've been travelling around a lot. However over the summer the Boy and I will be partaking of some archery, which he's quite keen on, as I used to be meself, and my sister-in-law has volunteered one of her horses for me to ride if I want. Long time since I've been on a gee-gee though!

I have been thinking about buying an old Morris Oxford or Austin Cambridge and doing it up, or maybe restoring a Matchless like I've always wanted too. Next year I'm going on a camel trek across the Takla-Makan desert, after much negotiation with Mrs Taw (it's for charity but I just want to do it anyway) it'll prob be the last time I do anything exciting, seeing as I'm getting on a bit these days. At least it'll be warm.

  • I would love to go horse back riding. Last time on a horse was 1967 though :(
