RES Rheinlanders Escort Service on Elite.

I would definently be interested in joining, as soon as Elite gets all those random explosion kinks worked out with the patch. I do not fly Rheinland ships tho.

I would like to see you guarantee protection from me <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>, seriously though you guys are making yourselves huge targets by posting this, if i were you i would keep it quiet, the best way to get around without getting killed is to keep a low profile, it always worked for me and i never had an escort. And just so you know you are going to get wacked in rhienland ships even if you are competant pilots, personally i think you should join one of the existing squads rather than creating a new one. It might look good in theory but in game it wont work out so well.

Well I honestly had no clue that any other organized escort services existed on elite, maybe one or two, and hey, if you want to try and attack us, nobody said you cant try, but I guarantee that if we do lose the fight, it wont have been an easy win for you. I personally went head to head with a Sabre for a good 6 minutes before we called it a stalemate, it had Nomad Cannons and Blasters, and Skyblast B´s. A Titan attacking us, or even a squadron of them would be no competition what-soever for Banshees or even a Valkyrie, though I´m sure if it was only one escort working at a time a pilot flown Eagle could do well against us since the Banshee is only marginally more maneuverable, but with two Banshees against an attacking Eagle, I´m sure we would come out on top. Also, to be honest I haven´t seen much PKing at all on Elite lately, just lots of working together and a small faction war, and RES is guaranteed Diplomatic Immunity by both factions. If someone flying a Rhino wants to do a longer more profitable trade run, but it goes into dangerous territory, we can escort them until they get a ship that they believe is tough enough to handle the run. Oh man, that was sooo much... not fun. Here comes JohnnyDakota in his Eagle trying to take our diamonds. We sit there for a while, asking what the hell he´s doing and he starts trashtalking, &quot;Oh man you think you could take an Eagle, I could waste you.&quot; Blablabla. Yeah, it was funny until he calls in 5 more guys in VHF, oh God. So hilarious. Big man in a VHF is afraid to take on two light fighters. ROFLMAO! ROFLOL! GAHAHAHA! OMFG! AHAHAHAA! You´ll have to excuse me, but that was REALLY funny. At which point Mad_Dog opens up with his Skyblast Bs, we get nowhere, so I quit the game in frustration. Of course I would have died eventually, what do you expect when 5 ****ers drop in to help some guy who already (arguably) has the advantage. Doesn´t help that they blew up my pal ACE for no reason, I mean wtf guys. It´s one thing if you attack someone one on one, or if the person attacks you first, but hey why not gang up against one poor guy minding his own business! Cooldude.. I´ll admit, the escort service is a really cool idea (wish i would have had the ambition to start it up), but you guy´s going all hardcore reinland is going to kill the service.. if you want to stay reinland but make the service successful go with a sabre.. it´s still considered reinland and it´s a strong ship that wont get you owned in 2 seconds. But i still suggest go get an eagle, same with you partner. And if people attack you, dont get mad man. It´s PVP. Pk´ing is part of the game. And being an escort service is no fun unless you get attacked. Oh, and on a side note. I was tailing you since stuttgart. The other guy´s came because they wanted to see if i could take on 5 at a time. But when all your friends bailed (aside from hell), and YOU guy´s said you could blow the hell out of an eagle with two of your crap ships, tha´ts when MD wanted to get in. And if you didn´t notice, it was only me and MD fighting. Everyone else was just watching. And I took hell, and MD took you. Then when hell said (after i beat him) that an eagle is too much, but he could take an saber, he faught MD and lost too him too. Yes yes fine, I was just really pissed off afterwards. But what is so good about taking on 5 people? Most of the freighters didn´t even have weapons, plus ruining someones day when they are completely full of Diamonds is lame, alright? Yes I ditched my diamonds because I was afraid you would attack, and you did. Neither of us were going to attack unless you did, but somehow the **** hit the fan and someone attacked. As for Rheinland ships, the point is we don´t WANT to get PKed, we´re just in it for the fun of flying around and blowing up ****ty AI. I had an Sabre and an Eagle with Nomad Blasters, Cannons, Salamancas, Del Cids, Skyblast B, other level 10s, etc. I just got plain sick of being like everyone else with either an Eagle or a Sabre. I think we´re doing it just to be different. Yeah sure it would be fun to fight a lone VHF, but when 5 of your friends drop in what did you expect us to think? Zopharx wasn´t exactly being clear about the situation. I don´t think anyone in our group wanted trouble, I just didn´t like you following us when we have 2 helpless freighters with little or no guns. Truce, TRUCE. I´ll admit I don´t exactly like NEO because one time they tried to cut me off when I was in a Dromedary with 275 Diamonds. But I ended up getting away. Dunno what two members it was. I didnt say I could beat either one of you guys, I said I could put up a good fight, and I did as far as I´m concerned. In the first battle when it was at least 2, (not sure if there were others who got involved) against us, we lasted about 5 to 7 minutes before dieing. The second time, I challeneged you to a duel Mad Dog, just to see how long I´d last, I´d say i put up a good fight, wouldnt you? Also, I dont look down on the situation at all, I dont want to make enemies, your shadowing us down our trade route worried me Johnny, so i confronted you, you expressed your possible intent to pirate us, i mused on the fact that perhaps 2 banshees could take on an Eagle and do well, if not win. I found it fun, I dont know if you did. Either way, neither of us lost any cargo, and I personally found it to be valuable combat experience. About the Rheinland fighters thing. We use them because we like them. We´ve agreed that the game gets old fast if you can kill any AI ship in two to three blows save for the very heavy fighters. In our Banshees we can take on any AI ship and stand a good chance of winning, and against players flying the more clumsy VHF´s (Titan, and to some extent Sabre) if we work together and there is only one. I like this gig much more than just getting a VHF and killing everything like its a god damned shooting gallery, I want a challenge, and flying a Banshee I have one. To restate, I dont want to make any enemies with you guys, but we fought, and it was fun, in the future could you please not shadow us so intimidatingly if you dont intent to pirate us?

Well anyway, now that hopefully everyone has cooled down we got a few new members. Hellmaster, add ACE and Alpha_Beta_4 to the list. But that was my fun. I saw a group of 5 guys sitting in stuttgart and i figured i´d have a good fight on my hands. So i went down there. But when i showed up i saw you were in light fighters so i just wanted to scare the hell out of you (hence my fun). LIke i said before, is it fun being an escort service when there is no chance of dying?? hell no, so i gave you guy´s the idea you were going to die. I had no intention of blowing those humpbacks to hell with diamonds in them. For god sakes, i may like to scare ppl, but i´m not an azzhole. And plus, I ddidn´t want to sink to the lvl that Null was back when i started off. I was just lvl 6 i think with a full load of nubium in a rhino going back to liberty and he jumped me with a eagle full of skyblast B´s. Now if THAT isn´t azzholish.. i dont know what is.. Anyways, untill some action comes around (ie those OWL guy´s show up to give the VHF´s a war) i´d be keeping yer eyes scanning the horizon <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> hehe

Well all of us haul cargo when we escort, but yeah just leave the transports if you can.

Had another rather successful run the other day, took Holliday to get a Banshee, and then escorted him on the way to get an Eagle. That reminds me, I hate Corsairs in their Titans. The ship is easy to kill, but since I use lvl 6 and 7 weaponry it takes a while, and they NEVER fight you, the only damage I took was crossfire from Holliday. They also ALWAYS run, they hit cruise the second their shields go down, its annoying because I dont use cruise disruptors.

I hired the RES pretty much the whole night last night to escort my completely unarmed humpback. Never lost my cargo and we made enough big money runs to make me a millionaire several times over. I sold my hump and Hellmaster flew wing for me while I went to get my Eagle. We had fun, that’s what it is all about. And they kept the AI off of me while I ran freight. It really doesn’t matter if they can or can’t kill everything moving. All that matters is that the cargo is safe, and it always was. Ne frustra vixisse videar
