mysterious crash problem

i have a mysterious problem with a custom ship and system.
i have recently fixed a problem with a custom ship that had a corruped CMP, but now on launching from my custom base the computer freezes during the load screen and cannot be unfrozen. any ideas?
it may just be my crap computer, but i have never had this problem before.

I've had this issue before... but cant remember what exactly the fix was.

Use a SUR from a known good ship and see what you get.
