Glutton for punishment, Question about NEO/Elite Admins

    The conspiracy suspicions remind me of a movie I just watch called "Dark Blue". It was about crooked cops in LA. From what I read in the forums, it appears that NEO has gained the trust of the admins on Elite by helping to report cheaters and keeping the server clean. There may have be a very small minority of NEO´s that have abused this trust by making false accusations and fabrictating evidence. Maybe they got away with it resulting in the appearance of a corrupt admin. I highly doubt that any of the admin´s are corrupt or biased towards the NEO clan. Why would they be? The only way they could be is if they have a good friend in NEO, or they are in NEO in an alternate character. Regulator

You´re probably right that if they don´t come to the appointed system at the appointed time then they are likely trying to hide something. However, you are operating on the assumption that everyone is guilty until proven (by their presence) innocent. Again, that´s your perogative to operate that way, but it leaves open the possibility that some innocent folks are getting banned because of a reason that you did not list above, whatever that reason is. It´s your thing...it´s just kinda unfortunate.

    It´s called Collateral Damage. Sometimes it is a necessary evil for the better of the whole. Personally, I think that a player should only be banned if they are definately cheating and you can see them cheating. I think players should have the right to remain silent, but only to a reasonable extent. They shouldn´t have to go to a different system to testify that they are innocent. Regulator

Additionally, 99% of these cases occur in Liberty systems, where PVP is illegal anyway.

    If your going to insult NEO do it right. I´m NOT in NEO! Explain how that doesn´t work? If there are 7 people in the system (excluding me) and I´ve scanned, seen and cleared 6 of them then the last person becomes a suspect. This isnt the only stuff we do to catch a cloaker. We have to improvise while in the field to catch them. Theres alot more that goes on in finding out whos cheating. People aren´t banned without solid evidence.     I´d like to point out that Deputies do NOT ban. They submit suspect names to Admin who investigates allegation with his own tools and techniques. Deputy intuition is NOT enough, even Screen shot evidence is only part of it.     mb52 - was in reference to the way that it sounded on the previous page - where it said something to the effect of: there were 7 people in the system - but we could only see 6 of them - which meant that someone was cloaked.. That was just badly put...ie - they could be docked, flying 20k or away from other populous places. Mind you - mb52 sounds like a server deputy - who also said... ´regardless of whom they are - if they are caught pking in liberty they will be banned - whether NEO or not....´ sounds good to me - tell NEO that. its not that i hate NEO - i don´t.......I just think they are dumb cowards...! lol (donning flame retardent suit......NEO dons a brain retardent suit..lol)

    Zop that isnt entirely true,ive only had dealings with one Neo,you zop on ac2 and you seemed quite intelligent and civil,now i cant speak for any other neo as i havnt met any of them.
