I had a dream of WAR!

  • thatd be cool, and the other sleeper ships are probalby part of a building in the 4 houses capitals

[img=http://filestorageals.homestead.com/files/alarm.gif][img=http://filestorageals.homestead.com/files/dj.gif][img=http://filestorageals.homestead.com/files/alarm.gif] and you were expecting a fight scene or something?

  • well i had a dream of howler monkeys NOT......testing testing, can you hear me? we are not,the DOW closed down 12 points and watch it suck that up the new SUPAclean supa vacuum...but what really raises the level of chicken,is the way all the parts come together. The Alliance would lose as aforementioned turkey logic proves

  • The Coalition would come to Sirius (I presume this is what your talking about) and be abushed by the Outcasts, Corsairs, the House Millitaries and numeous others. They would never stand a chance! All would die in the overwhelming odds! The Sol sytem has nine planets as shown in Starlancer Sirius has over 100! Thousands of ships would be waiting! THE WAR WOULD BE BLOODY BUT SHORT! Im getting ahead of myself and am going to stop injecting Cardamine and go back to good ol inhalers... Me:Ok One last chance to surrender! Enemy:WHAT! We outnumber you 6 to 1! Me: Maybe I could drop some weapons to make it easier for you!

  • I think Rheinland sold theirs to Liberty to pay off its debts (from the 80 year war). When I was on LA recently I noticed a sleepership lookalike building. "I´m not a Corsair, I just spend my time taking work from them" Child of the Hispania- http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1404122

  • i learned. in the 2nd made intro the sleeper ship is a building (the liberty 1 anyway). the other1 was actually the guy that "survived". it just looked suprisingly like the sleeper ships sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and chains excite me!

  • I belive that you are wrong about the Alliance winning now. It took them 800 years to build to this point. In that time, the coalition would have a s**t load of new weaponery and out gun all of the Sirius sector

  • I like the sleeper ship though. In fact ... YAWN ... I think I´m going to go take a nap. Wake me when the war is over. Jose Chavez: "Trent! It´s good to see my kind of scum."

  • In my opinion Xeno Sirius would win! The Coalition would be outgunned with every person in Sirius, and if the Corsairs and Outcasts got involved they could outnumber us but the skill, grace and pure savagry of the Children of the Hispania would kill thousands as they tried to compreheand what was happening! Face it, we couldnt loose! Me:Ok One last chance to surrender! Enemy:WHAT! We outnumber you 6 to 1! Me: Maybe I could drop some weapons to make it easier for you!

  • Just remember that a tiny, underpopulated Japan managed to grip Korea and over-populated China for decades. And any assumption that numerous planets = high population is fallacious. The Houses have like, what, 200 years to colonize Sirius? whereas Sol has managed unbroken growth since the 22nd century, unlike the Houses which had to start from absolute nil and facing constant threat from powerful criminal and rebellious elements? The Coalition (assuming they still exist and still evil after 1000 years, very unlikely) would mop the floor with Houses Armed Forces. And there´s no proof that the rebels and criminals of Sirius would automatically support the Houses (except the Rogues). They might just think that the Coalition would make better masters and trade clients.

  • Of course, all this is assuming the Coalition still exists. I think that after they destroyed the alliance they started fighting each other and it broke apart so I doubt the Alliance would have to worry about them. • Assuming the Coalition was or still is evil. I don´t think the Coalition was evil. People always demonize their enemies. In World War II, the German soldiers had inscribed on their belt buckles "Got Mit Uns", (or something like that) which translates as "God is With Us." I have found God is usually on the side of the ones who have the most resources and biggest guns And if you look at it the Coalition would probably have considered the Alliance evil. It did say in the opening movie that we had been fighting for so long no one could remeber what started it all. But if you want to assume that Sol has only 9 planets and Sirius has over 100, assuming Sol had populated all 9 there are still, at least 15 populated planets in Sirius. I´m sure there are more, but just 15 that I can think of including Crete and Malta. Liberty alone has 4. Houston, Manhattan, Los Angelos and Denver. Plus the other 3 houses, Corsairs and Outcasts. The Coalition would be defeated in short order. Ridding Galileo of scum in a starflier

  • Aren´t you guys forgetting something?? Who says the Coalition actually STAYED in Sol?? The Alliance was capable of building sleeper ships and reach other systems, while the Coalition had conquered most of the planets AND resources in our solarsystem... If the Alliance could build a few, the Coalition could have build an entire FLEET of those things. They already had an entire system + impressive industrial bases and fleets to start with, while the Alliance had to start allover again from scratch. The Coalition could have taken noumerous other sectors and used the resources there to further strengthen Sol, building new fleets and still developping new tech. Not only would they have new and far superior tech developped in Sol, they would also outnumber the alliance big time with their colonies. If they would know where the Alliance was and send in their fleets, entire Sirius wouldn´t stand much of a chance... Until that one pilot came along to save the day Oh Man, I SOOOOO hope they´ll make a sequel! "In one dimension, I find existence. In one dimension, I find existence. In two I find life, but in three, I find freedom...

  • guys watch the original intro the sol system was destroyed by the nomads, the coalition dosnt exist anymore the whole sol system was destroyed along with everything in it exept a young admiral that escaped to the sirius sector to warn the alliance of the threat of the nomads(he is in the shuttle you see landing at manhatten in the final intro ) "man, malys you got lay off the twinkies" -last words of a draconian

  • Oh look this topic has degenerated into wether the Coalition would win if they came back. And all because I suggested it. Dont I feel special. So what if the coalition had better tech, with a system full of active Artifacts we would find a way to activate them and use mega advanced tech! But then the Coalition would arrive when the Nomads return and then the Nomads will destroy the arriving Coalition forces, and then we can mop up the remaining Nomads! Now that would be hillarious! "Commander we have found were the Alliance Ships landed!" "Good begin destroying them" "Yes sir!, What are those huge blue things??" BOOOOM End Game for the Coalition Me:Ok One last chance to surrender! Enemy:WHAT! We outnumber you 6 to 1! Me: Maybe I could drop some weapons to make it easier for you!

  • why doesn´t the alliance go to the Coalition insteed of the Coalition coming to the alliance? the allaince has decided to return to earth again!!! at least there needs to be something with the Coalition in the expansion (if theres going to be one). i´ll think of something...someday

  • Ok, you are all forgeting somthing else... SLEEPER SHIPS! Read some sci fi and you´l know that a sleeper ship journy lasts hundreds of years. The coalition had probably twice as long to develop as you thought... or decline. Look at all the great empire in history. Nothing lasts forever. The way to make it last longer is to have fast comunication of goods and ideaas to all parts of the empire, thus promoting change. So, if the empire didn´t have good transportation/communication networks, it would fall. If it had those, it would change. Rome became christian! My point is the coalition could be in just about any state imaginable but most likely it is not still hostile to the Aliance (just as we in the US are not hostile to the UK today) We who are about to die salute you!

  • malystryx , as you know, that intro hasn´t become the official intro. It´s scrapped for a reason, and probably (hopefully) to make an encounter with the Coalition possible during a sequel... to born to be wild , I wish you good luck on your mod, I´ld love to play it once it´s released Too bad my modding skills aren´t that high, otherwise I´ld have loved to help you "In one dimension, I find existence.
