Free Worlds: A Star Wars TC Mod

  • Well - i downloaded the mod, and it wouldn´t activate. I found that the problem is that in the market_misc.ini file - the line for base = li01_12_base doesn´t have a [Basegood part above it. This was in the actual file - i found this after FLMM found a fault corresponding with this file during activation, so i looked at your script to find the appropriate part to see what was wrong, and nothing was wrong, hence why i then jumped into the ini file instead. Just to let you know incase this is a problem with the version for DL. Basically - i dl´d it, then this happened on activation with FLMM V1.2.5 or whatever, but on correction it activates fine.   • I also assume that this aint SP friendly due to the crash i had. So - what server do you have running for this? Might help if we knew where to play it. Nice stuff by the way - like the splash/menu screens!

  • Yeh it seems its only MP this mod works in since evrytime u try to load or start a new game it CTD all the time. and yeh the start screens are cool,but we need to know where we can play this mod or if it works.

  • well i found a server which the mod works on,if u go down server list to the servers with F at beginning u can find one. free world 1.5 server or along those lines. i only been on it a few mins and i like it <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>.

  • Erm :- WOW + OMG = This mod!!! Incredible attention to detail!! I am incredibly impressed to the mod team responsible to this!! Erm - WOW, bye to social life for a while, bye to modding myself for a while - i retire!!!

  • Only one thing - some places read out with the infocards for the stations they are from in the game - ie one of the planets in the starting system has the canturbury station info in it - however - this is all in the file of: Infocardmap.ini which is inside the interface folder. Basically - the first lot of numbers as below are the initial IDS info number, the second load of numbers is the SECOND ids info part - which gives the readouts when zoomed in on the map. Change them and it will be perfection! [InfocardMapTable Map = 65537, 65538 Map = 65539, 65540 Map = 65541, 65542 Map = 65543, 65544 Map = 65545, 65546 *edit* Sorry - it could also do with more missions in the starting system at least. There was only me and disturbed on the server, and he was in Bespin instead of corsucont with me, yet the station i went to with my new character couldn´t get a mission as too many players were accessing the boards.   • The mod Is MP only, and can be played in 24/7 UK SERVER and a North American server I can´t recall now. FLMM 1.2 beta 5 causes the mod to fail during decompression, so use 1.2, no beta.   • MP only? Wish they said that before or put a notice about it on site or in the readme. Normally I like to play a mod in OPENSP since I do not play online freelancer at all. (most of my online time is either work related or SWG)

  • Thanks for the tip, Chips! We had a snag with our script file. None of the mod team was using the latest FLMM and we had no idea that there would be a conflict. There is a v1.52 release that fixes that problem.   • Are you telling me I cant use this mod in single player? because when I try to start a new game it crashes. Why? I don´t care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members.

  • The SP part is out due to that would take a lot of time from acctual moding sorry for that... If we ever get any time over we will probably do that but it is very unlikely! It is still a BETA so the server can have crashed or crumbeld of all traffic <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>... FW PR Coordinator larlin

  • Review of: &quot;Free Worlds v1.51: A Star Wars TC Mod for Freelancer&quot; This mod is a great recreation of the selected Star Wars Systems that would make George Lucas proud. Althrough the mod has a few problems like with the balancing of some ships, and weapons, invisible enemy droids, one frighter that only has 5 cargo space, a disappearing, and reappearing Star Destroyer, and the very gay &quot;starting with the escape pod&quot; idea, and spending nearly every credit on a new ship. (Which idiot came up with that idea?). Otherwise this is a pretty decent mod, and highly recommended with anyone that has a little Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader inside them <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>.
