Water could be poluted from the chemical run off and then into water sources that the cow get. <img src=smilies/icon_smile_sad.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Polution from factorys, industrial areas has always been a problem.

California has a lot of the space program /civilian and military / development, design and testing facilities in this country. Jet Propulsion Laboratories, Lockheed´s Skunk Works, Boeings also. And They are all located in and about the San Fernando Valley.... which also is where much of the dairy farms are located. So even if you buy organic California milk, it still may be polluted with toxins anyway. <Edit> And that´s just the civilian side. The Air Force, Navy and Marines all have major air bases in California which additionally are testing sites for all manner of missile armaments and motors / engines. Taw/Mustang - Let´s just say that lactose and I don´t get along most of the time <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. Besides, soy is much more robust. Normal milk is so ordinary; no character <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>.
