History of TLR

 • Hey guys, to the moderators I can only say WELL DONE, WELL DONE, and again WELL DONE!!!! I bought my copy of FL back in late 2000, played but never new there was a forum til about jan. of this year. Since discovering, it has revitalized my enjoyment of the game and now I´m even attempting modding in a small way. While I myself am only 1 or 2 steps above being computer illiterate thanks to the efforts of gents like Chips and BakedPotato I´m actually making progress. As to the great flame war and it´s analogs let sleeping dogs (or rather dragons) sleep as I have been through similar things on other sites and this is by far the freindliest and most interesting by a far margin. Please keep up the awesome work, and if nobody else says so, I think you guys are great.

 • You bought FL in late 2000? you should have brought it to DA, would have spared the rest of us the wait ´til spring 2003

 • In honor of all those faithful staff members who keep TLR running, perhaps we should have some offical holidays, such as: Moderators Day - Appreciate the great job they do here (maybe Bargib can have his own day too) I think TLR´s birthday is already recognized in the news section, but perhaps someone could choose an offical day, and have bp make an offical news post...

 • Begging your pardon RubberEagle, I mistyped. Somethimes my fingers do things without being told. Got me in trouble with a couple of girls at times :p "we wish for one last landing on the globe that gave us birth, to rest our eyes on the fleecey skies, and the cool green hills of earth" - ´Noisy´ Rhysling

 • Eh Esq...aren´t you the one who´s alway complaining about double posting And you´re right about the moderators off day, it will be terrible the way you would spam it they are off

 • sw - Yes I *do* go on about that, but notice that there is a three-day gap between the two posts which makes it alright .

 • I simply feel that it is reasonable to double-post if a topic has not been posted in for a decent amount of time (eg. three days). While editing posts is great, people do not always notice when a post has been edited and thus, another post is necessary if further discussion is sought. Does that seem unreasonable?

 • Speaking of stickying this thread.... which I will acknowledge is what Esqy noted earlier, I second that motion.
