Superman has died!

  • I still can´t believe it. This is one actor that I respected more than most because of how he persevered after his accident. He refused to let a disability determine how he lived his life. My heart goes out to his family and children.

  • Esqy said"

I really respected his promotion of spinal cord injuries after his accident.

<font face=´trebuchet ms, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica´ size=2> ... er.... syntax? Ten years from his injury ´til his death. R.I.P. Christopher Reeve.

  • I think the worst is that in recent years/months he could move his finger, and had sensations in other areas of his body. As I read today, you always thought in the back of your head that he would walk once more - but unfortunately we will never know if he could have managed the ´Superhuman´ feat.. One good thing about AOL is news i guess here - I do not know if that will work for anyone else or not...........

  • tis a real shame may he to were ever we go...

_______________ i dont suffer fools gladly , in fact i dont suffer them at all

  • I´d forgotten that he was making rehabilitative progress. Oh jeez. That´s even sadder then. But he died of cardiac arrest brought on by infectious complications of pressure wounds. An unavoidable problem when you are bedridden and paralyzed. It is all very very sad. Were I to have been in his shoes, I think I´d have given up a long time ago.

  • That is what I admired about Christopher Reeves the MOST. He never gave up. EVER. I think he knew that he would never walk again. But he didn´t let that discourage him from doing what he wanted to do. THAT, in my opinion, is the definition of a hero. That is what Christopher Reeves was and still is to me.

  • its amazing i mean i probably would of gotten someone to push me off a bridge, no joke.

  • He will be missed greatly, imo he pushed forward spinal cord research ten years, it´s just a shame he will never get to see the fruits of his labour. He is definately one of my heros.

  • There was nothing syntactically wrong with my statement Indy. It´s a bit verbose, but it was late when I composed it .

  • Is it good news or bad news? well whoever he was i hope that in his next life (somewhere between 2300 or something) he will remake superman (i did watched cople of episodes) Edited by - freelancer2003 on 10/12/2004 7:09:58 AM

  • Christopher Reeve played superman in the movies, while George Reeves played superman in an older TV series. Sadly, both are gone now.

  • The man will be missed. There is a memorial now set up at his star on the walk of fame.He has brought a great deal of joy to us in life, a great deal of sadness in his passing. He will be missed................AZAR

  • but he will be back in 2300 in his next life with a diffrent name and in a diffrent country and shall bring the superman series back again..then...

  • He was a great man who did a lot of good for a lot of disabled people and tirelessly campained for research to be done in the contraversial area of Stem-Cell research. He will be missed
