Hmm - dunno how many other English there are......... Just watched Episode 3 of Himalayas with Michael Palin (BBC 1 9pm-10pm Sundays). Anyone else watching? Is it making anyone else speechless at some of the fantastic places available to travel to? Anyone else want to go travelling? Been a very large Palin fan for years and years (since first seeing ´Around the World in 80 days´ in the late 80´s/early 90´s as well as ´Pole to Pole´ - which i got on Video for my 14th birthday i think it was (or somewhere round there). Have also seen ´Around the Pacific Rim´ - but missed ´Sahara´. Got the ´Round the world in 80 days´ book for my birthday this year..... However, to travel: Tibet and Nepal have just been added to my ´must visit´ list: Canada Russia China Peru/Argentina Nepal Tibet No doubt more will be added as I continue to watch it Email? speaking of, i saw "around the world in 80 raves" where a bunch of students go around the USA checking out all the different music scenes there are. Made me wanna backpack across yankland actually. which i might do next summer. @DSQ: yes, yes i do, you have no idea how much of a spelling nazi i can be.

i´m meeting him on wednesday, he´s coming to a local bookshop in Carlisle to sign copies of his new book. I love all of michael palins programmes, sahara was great and himalaya is even better. Pole to Pole was imo his best series!

I´d love to do the same as archie, except take a camera and wander around for the rest of my life ( with a decent ammount of money behind me, natch ) <img src=´http://www.westfarleigh.org.uk/images/kent.jpg ´>

I´d like to live near the sea, overlooking it but not right next to it somewhere in a temperate climate where all four seasons are experienced each year. <For the sake of good order> For the record, IRL there is no "New Tokyo, Japan" as in a city that is named "New Tokyo." However, the official name of Narita Airport is "New Tokyo International Airport." So the weather report provided by Fd @ New Tokyo happens to be the weather at Narita Airport.

@ff Palins travel site You can check out the catalogue of pictures taken by his photographer from around his travels and indeed some of the finest places on the planet! @Growser

What about Rip Torn? <img src=´http://ia.imdb.com/media/imdb/01/I/74/35/22m.jpg ´>

Hmm, no. Only seen Rip Torn in one movie that i remember - Wonder Boys - which i thought was brilliant

I love Ripping Yarns. Don´t know what else to tell you. Palin´s been my longest running Python favorite. There´s just something about him that gives the impression that pretty much everything and anything can turn into a joke or a laugh.

I remember "Ripping Yarns".. kind of. It´s been a while .
