Shifting to Australia advice

 • Tamworth is, as I understand it, a large country town. Although it is large, it ain´t no Melbourne . Because of this I would imagine that, depending upon your skills/interests, finding work may be a little tricky (but not overly so). Because of that, checking the feasibility of work would probably be a good idea (and would be good idea in any similar situation).

 • Yep, you´ll be okay to just come visit and work without work visas and the like. Can´t really comment on the job situation in Tamworth though but it´s always better to have a job lined up. Of course that usually isn´t possible unless your working for a company that is going to send you over here.

 • Tamworth? *must resist jokes about hicks and country music* Tamworth is a fair way out from sydney, and from any major town. (thats cos it is the major town in the area. be warned. -Shark

 • Well, I think I´ve got the job part all secured and ready. I´m employed by Godfreys here in NZ, but they have stores all over Australia, including one in Tamworth. So hopefully I´ll be able to get a transfer. Fingers crossed.

 • Heh, yeah and vacumn cleaner related accessories. Should be interesting seeing how it goes, my first day´s tomorrow so fingers crossed it goes well.
