• One of my tips is that if you have to get money Fast is smuggle cardimine from Planet Malta to Planet Manhatan. Its hArd whenn you enter Liberty STAY OF TRADE LANSE and come from the back of the planet. so your not spoted. IF you are dock quickly!. Another route is to run diomonds from new berlin to new tokyo.(if this has bin said please correct me ) and anoter ard way is killin´ bounty hunters for (silent suspenful puase followed by drum role)..................THE CORSAIRS. I got a new signature like it? "this is bravo-3 reporting in i have a coolint leak ... may i please dock?" "ok please wait in que for one hour" "ok" 5-4-3-2-1 Kaboom! "Bravo 3 your cleared to dock... Bravo-3?... Bravo-3{[![! Edited by - Beta-5 on 2/18/2005 8:39:23 PM

 • Trade tip for making money early in the game: Once you can get a Rhino and fill it, take Luxury Consumer Goods to the GC base (Atla?) in Hokkaido, bring cardamine back to Manhattan. If you do it early enough in the game, everyone in Kusari should be neutral or friendly with you (kill too many pirates and the all important GC start turning hostile). The only significant danger you face is from Lane Hackers in the border systems between Liberty and Kusari space. Upgrade to a Kusari freighter when money allows. And yes, go the long way around Manhattan by exiting the trade lane early to avoid some problems with the seemingly ever-present police outside the planet.

 • You cant do it! You Cant get back to manhatten untill you finish the game!! (inless you mean multiplayer. then you can) sorry for splling correct me if im wrong "this is bravo-3 reporting in i have a coolint leak ... may i please dock?" "ok please wait in que for one hour" "ok" 5-4-3-2-1 Kaboom! "Bravo 3 your cleared to dock Bravo-3? Bravo-3 Edited by - Beta-5 on 2/20/2005 12:57:45 PM

 • Thank You, Ive been lurking on here for a week and found some great info, THANKS YALL! I must say I was a little hesitant to buy Freelancer, as Privateer became a huge chunk of my life when it came out.. As did Wing Commander when it came out.. Being a working man and in School I hope I can balance things out.. Its such a darn good game.

 • Your welcome personly I dont like freelancer.. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another tip I found is... If you have "GOOD" weopons (class 8 - 10*) and have a good ship (Anubis, Titan, Sabre, Stileto, Saber,(and at the begining ov the game) Defender with class 2 - 3) accept the high paying assasination missions. Pirate = Harder but high paying Goverment = Medium difficulty Medium pay Civillian** = low diffilculty low - medium pay *such as CODENAMES, Wyrm Type 2´s...Etc. (and at the begining of the game Vengace mk.1´s*** and Lava Blade mk.1 - mk.2´s ** such as Samora Heavy Industries, Universal Shipping, Cryer, Kishiro, Ageria,...Etc. ***Spelling? Assasination mission´s go fast if you can kill in one pass (alternatively you can do capture and return or tractor goods because you return to the base faster so you dont have to plan the co-ordinates your self I do assasinations missions for the Bloos Dargons with a Komodo Dragon(crossfire mod v1.4) This Is My Loadout Gun slot 1 for class 9:Firestalker launcher ****" Gun slot class 10IOMONDBACK " Gun slot class 10:BLUE FLAME " Screemer mine Sunstalker torpedo Adv. • This thread might be a good candidate for one of those omnipotent moderator thumbtacks...*hint hint* A few little tricks that can help you live longer: * Use mines to disrupt tradelanes after entering them. If you are being pursued, your would-be killer now has to wait for the lane to cycle or fly to the next ring before he/she can enter the lane. To be really sneaky, disrupt the other end of the lane as well to slow them down twice as much. * Engine kill is not just a handy way to check your six, it can be used as an effective combat tactic for an entire battle. Try leaving engine kill on and maneuvering around using just your thruster- you will be able to maintain a 200m/s top speed and fire in any direction at any time. You can also pull surprise turns in engine kill, and reverse course in much less time than it would take to turn all the way around at 80m/s (or at 200 using the thruster without engine kill). * Wait as long as possible before using shield batteries or nanobots. Each will repair 300HP of shield or armor damage, but they will be partially wasted if you use them early (for example, hitting the battery key when your shield has only taken 100HP or so of damage). The longer you wait, the less nanobots and shield batteries you will waste on partial repair jobs. * Mining/looting tip: When you are going out to loot wrecks or mine for valuable commodities, equip a low level weapon such as a Justice I or a basic Stunpulse, and use only that single weapon for that purpose. It only takes one hit from these weapons to pop an asteroid or a wreck, and there is less of a chance that you might accidentally fry your loot with your massive main weapons.

 • Some player may not know that you can bail out of a trade lane by hitting the ESC key. Saves doubling back to some destinations. Once I was being chased by another player and got away by exiting the trade lane halfway through while he flew to the end! Click here

 • THINK ABOUT YOUR WEAPON LOAD OUT. I have seen many people die due to poor weapon selcetion. Think how much each damage each weapon will do. Each Weapon is designed for a certain task other then blowing people apart. Here is a list of each Weapon Bases. Guns Laser :- Rapid Fire, Low Damage Plasma :- Slow Fire, High Damage Photon :- Rapid Fire, High energy, Mid-Low Damage Particle :- Medium Fire, Medium Damage Neutron :- Medium Fire, Medium Damage, Stronger up Close Teykon (however it´s spelled) :- Medium Fire, Meduim Damage, Stronger Faraway Pulse:- Medium Fire, High Sheild Damage, Extreamly Low Hull Damage. Missiles Javlin Group. High powered Missiles Stalker Group. Fast moving Missiles Eraser Group. Shield Killing Missles Here is a Weapons set I use on an Eagle: Skyblast B x2 (Photon) Del Cid x2 (Pulse Cannonball Missiles x2 (High Powered Missiles) Try different kinds of weapons and see which ones work well together.

 • a usefull tip is maybe to stay in light fighters for a long while, co´z they have a better agility and smaller profile then heavy and very heavy fighters. This way you will be harder to hit and you can dodge more with it.

 • The single most important tip EVER is to have at lease one Pulse weapon on your ship. Don´t forget that EVERY weapon in the game (except Pulse) does half damage to shields. If you can rip down the enemy´s shields quickly, your guns can do much more damage. Combine Pulse weapons with the Javelin series of missiles for maximum damage. Miscellaneous other tips: - ONLY the Javelin series of missiles is worth having. NO other missiles are AT ALL good value. The Stalker series just don´t do enough damage, and the Eraser series is pointless in the extreme - just buy a Pulse weapon instead. Don´t worry that the Javelin series has virtually no homing ability. Just only launch when the opponent is unshielded and heading towards you and you should hit every time. - To get away from pursuing NPCs equipped with Cruise Disruptors, Engine Kill and use your thruster for a couple of seconds, in the direction you intend to go. Then release the thruster and turn around to face the enemies. You´ll still be travelling at thruster speed, but since you´re aiming at them, the NPCs will scatter. Wait until they disappear from your sensor display, turn around and engage cruise. Job done! - The faster the refire rate on a weapon, the less efficient it is. This means that if you were to fire 6 Skyblast Bs constantly (refire 8.33) and 6 Firekiss 2s (refire 2.00), your energy would run out much more quickly with the Skyblasts. It´s the tradeoff for being easier to hit with. That´s why I stick with weapons around 4.00 or 3.03 - Don´t trust the Go To autopilot for taking you through minefields or fields of explosive gas. Do it manually.

 • If you need to improve your reputation with almost anyone then go back to Liberty and blast the Xenos. They´re enemies with practically everyone. If you´re friendly with the Rogues and/or Junkers then hang around the Colorado Jump Hole cause they always go there. Rochester usually has a "Kill Xenos" mission too. Your resident noob I want Freelancer 2!

 • I see a stiky comeing on(hint hint... I SAID hint hint...are you listening HINT HINT MODERATORS HINT HINT!!!!! Another tip is well TO buy a VERY good ship And Just kill (of course)

 • Actually, U can acsess Liberty and Rhienland in SP (once u reach kusari). Ive done it before. Also, energy no longer becomes and issue when u get nomad weps (class 10). They have high dam + decent refire. My config (primary weps.) High-level enemies (Edge worlds, Hispania): 2 Tizona Del Cids 2 Nomad Energy Cannons 2 Nomad Energy Blasters Other Sytems (along with my Nomad weaponry): 2 Sunblast B´s, or 2 Salamanca Mk2´s, or 2 Firekiss Mk2´s, or 2 Hornviper Mk2´s (depends on how I currently feel or what my current prey is). I find missiles and mines to be a waste of cash. If you really want them, then go to the Edge worlds and Hispania, where the enmies pack powerfull missiles and mines (Class 7 Javelin variant Lancers, and Swatter Mines). • You can get Firekiss and Hornviper MKIIs?? HOLY SH*T! Absolutely the most lucrative trade route in Sirius--even more than shipping artifacts or Cardamine--is diamonds from Planet New Berlin to Planet New Tokyo. There´s a 12,556 net income per diamond. Get a drom or a humpback, load it up with diamonds, and you´re set

Buy Niobium for $415 Go through New Tokyo - Honshu - Sigma 13 - The Ring (new Berlin System) Sell Niobium for $1440

<font face=´trebuchet ms, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica´ size=2> Or go to Leipzig station, Dresden and sell it for $16 k. Doesn´t seem like much difference, but it is significant Edited by - Wilde on 3/26/2005 4:23:15 PM
