Indepth question, knowledge is sought.

 • I often play the sorceror because they have more spells than the wizard (can cast them more often) and because I am utterly obsessed with magic users. I can swear there is nothing more satisfying than landing a Hellball on a puny goblin. Otherwise I go for a monk/wizard multi or an arcane archer/ranger prestige because they´re nice and rounded, though I´m not above munchkinning.

 • Two words: Dwarf Wizard. Nobody expects a dwarf to hurl fireballs at people and turn them into dust. Except in Dungeon Siege (the demo) where my buddies and I hosted huge "DS Demo bring-as-many-freaky-characters-as-you-can-and-they´ll-fight tournaments". It was awesome, my skeleton sorcerer dominated because of the soul lance complemented by fireshot. I definetly need to get the full version, the demo got kinda boring after about two months.

 • I used to play all kinds of magic users mostly, beginning in the early days of computer games. I changed this habit when I got absolutely hooked on Thief - this game made me realize how fascinating stealthy characters can be. Why?

 • When I used to game a lot I´d always levitate towards a ranger to eventually a swashbuckler. I liked the idea of out in the wilderness, with only my animal companions hunting and foraging. Eventually the idea of being a rascally rogue with a flair for showmanship appealed to me more. Besides, it´s fun to break the law P.S. I do not condone the breaking of any laws in real life however. Shame on you!

 • I play as a fast, stealthy character who is good in close range combat Reason being I can get in their face and beat them up and if they are beating me up...I can hightail it out of there

 • My peferance, is a Hero type, like a Knight/Paladen, one willing to fight despite the odds. Like Cloud in Final Fantasy, who sticks by friends, no matter the odds. Sword and Staff, ready for a fight.

 • 1. I don´t play RPGs. 2. If I did, it would be someone that´s very fast, with slight stealth ability, that fires ludicrous powerful and long ranged projectiles with no accuracy. ___Corsair~MMIV Reasons I´m better than you: #78468- I have squiggly lines in my name.

 • Barbarian, basically a tank melee fighter. I´m not into magic, it´s too fiddly. I just like grabbing a massive axe and killing stuff. Although I really prefer space sims like FL, I still like the odd bit of RPGs Whenever death may surprise us, let it be welcome if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear and another hand reaches out to take up our arms -- Ernesto "Che" Guevara

 • Are we talking RPGs as in FF types or RPGs as in Morrowind types FF doesnt exactly let you choose the type of character you are Morrowind on the other hand...you make your own character...As for FFX, I own it...But dont play it as when i played FFVIII i kept getting to the 4th disc (30 hours of play lol) and my save would mess up...bad wounds

 • In the first Final Fantasy, you could chose your char, ninja, red mage and so forth, in the S. Nt version, 3, you could choose a little bit, though the main became the paladon

 • fighter with high Dexterity and slight magic (preferably healing and haste) can do w/o magic tho. get in get out before anyone (me) gets hurt

 • In classic RPG I like to play a Cleric. Not that they are powerful or I especially like healing but they usually can walk the fine line between using magic and using weapons (usually blunt ones). Also they are sought out in MP because of their healing ability. Wizards are usually too weak for too long in the beginning. Fighters remind of RTS - see the bad guy, wade in, hit the bad guy, kill the bad guy, next, see the bad guy, wade in,... Little strategy except where to apply the power. In FL I play a bounty hunter (mercenary) type with a little Pirating mixed in to keep everyone on their toes. • I often play as evil, I don´t know why. On a side note : No, On that last topic FD i didnt notice it was from 8 months ago, lmao, sometimes my browser scroll to the bottom of the page, I got a benign virus in here that like to screw with me lol.

 • i personally dont like getting close in and seeing his face contorted in agony as my power totally destroys the poor guy. i generall head for ranged characters. but not those magic types. too fiddly. if available, archers, or snipers if there are any. not much brainwork either. just think about where to go to shoot the intended target without being seen/attacked. it also lightens up pressure on my hp. whilst melee fighters will have to rush back if their hp is low, ranged guys just have to be a bit more careful when attacking with low hp, cause the prey really isn´t gonna get the chance to hit back if its got 50 arrows stuck in its torso.

 • I cant remeber ever not being a ranger. In life i love to wander ravines and forests so in RPG´s i love to be a wilderness man. For rangers though i dont like swords a bow seems so much more rangerish.
