Baseball

 • What´s a home run? Just kidding, but I really don´t watch baseball. Canadian teams suck, so its annoying.

 • Chant with me stormtrooper GO YANKEES! GO YANKEES! GO YANKEES! GO YANKEES! sry about that Edited by - Beta-5 on 2/28/2005 8:33:29 PM

 • Not that I watch baseball or something, but it would be nice if the Red Sox win the Series again. But that´s only I met a girl here in Australia who´s from Boston And that´s why I supported the Patriots during the Superbowl. And I´ll always cheer for the NJ Devils because I always played with them when I was playing NHL.

 • Here´s some math for you: Microsoft = Monopoly, EA = Monopoly, New York Yankees = Monopoly. I passionately despise the Yankees, for moral reasons. Nobody noticed when Cleveland and their $54 Million payroll shut out the Yankees ($243 Million) 22-0. The Problem with baseball is that New York can afford to buy all of the good players, and then it´s no longer a game. This isn´t about skill anymore, It´s about New York. Now if we had salary caps at say, $70 Million, it would be a different story, since only one team can afford more than that. All the big players would leave and be more dispersed, I hate a season that´s more predictable than when new CAD strips come up. You can argue all you want, but it´s not fair. Baseball is a game, not a business. That´s my two cents. In conclusion, GO TRIBE!

 • Ya know NBA and NFL street? Found somehting strange,FIFA street (soccer) and just one question to the Europeans out there, what does FIFA stand for,and why do we need an urban setting for soccer? (Sorry for going off topic) And to reply for Steve´s post,i agree with you New York and Boston and other biggy teams do buy their players

The moment people start buying teams for the purpose of making a profit out of it, we´re talking about nothing else then business. Why do they buy the good players? Because they sell. People will come to the stadium to see them, they´ll buy their jerseys, their baseball cards whatever. That way, the team-owner makes his profit.

what does FIFA stand for,and why do we need an urban setting for soccer?

<font face=´trebuchet ms, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica´ size=2> FIFA: Fédération Internationale de Football Association (it´s French). Now for the urban setting (I must tell that I have never seen that game or read anything about it. Street football (I´ll never call it soccer) is really important for the development of the skills of young players. Because it´s such a rough enviroment, you learn how to tand up for yourself and because it´s such a fast-paced game, you can develop tricks/skills which are useful when you become a professional players. The world´s best players all started playing on the street.
