4th of july gripe

ok stormtrooper is what I am talking about. all day today it has been nonstop fireworks. I just ccaaannnttt waite for the fourth now <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Blessed Be to all those that still dream of the flight to the stars.

I live in Washington, not far from an Indian reservation that each year sets up a complex covering several acres known as &quot;Boom City.&quot; Interstate 5 is blocked up for miles, even days in advance with people trying to get fireworks. We´ve been having them here for a week or so, but not nearly so bad as you report. My dad is a volunteer firefighter and has a lot of sleepless nights around this time of year.

haha, that really sucks. if its a daily occurance then its not special when a propper fireworks display comes along. maybe there´s just a lot of birthdays over there? -arc

if it is a birthday thing hen one of the neabores has one really big family. just one house has been fireing off fireworks since febuary and like I said others have been doing the same thing for three months. Blessed Be to all those that still dream of the flight to the stars.

Wilde, it´s the &quot;fire&quot; part that usually gets people excited. We all have an inner pyromaniac just waiting to be released. But I do agree that they´re all a big fuss over nothing. ah...fourth of july come and gone...taking with it my only weekend off for a long time <img src=smilies/icon_smile_disapprove.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> Fireworks here in IA are illegal (except those sparklers and snap thingies). Of course that doesn´t stop many of us to make a quick run to missouri. the VERY first thing you´ll see as soon as you leave iowa and enter missouri is a fireworks store. Hilarious <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> I enjoy fireworks, although this year´s were kinda blah... Last year the grand finale of the 4th of july fireworks was an explosion the size of the queen mary on the local river that rose the ambient temp enough to pop many of the blue/red/white balloons on the bridge where we were watching! Great stuff, of course, I´m have a somewhat dangerous infatuation with fire and anything fire related <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

if your gonna buy fire works get the good stuff the artillery shells

The good stuff is the 500 gram cakes and the multi tube stuff.Roman candles Firecrackers Smokesticks etc are good for a few shrills of excitement from 4-6 year olds.
