Science Fiction

  • David Weber is a good author, not one of my favorites but good.my favorite scifi series is dickson´s Dragonknight stories.really good books;footfall, lucifer´s hammer, any of falkenberg´s mercenaries or the codominium stories, the original bolo books and spinoffs, the moon is a harsh mistress,protector,ringworld,1632,1633,the spellsinger series or anything by alan dean foster, terry pratchett´s discworld stories, the Vorkosigan series, the time machines, lots more that i can´t remember right now. taw:sci-fi is imo any fictional science story with a scientific basis in reality, however tenuous.now there´s hard scifi and soft scifi, hard scifi uses well researched and grounded theory blended with fiction to create otherwise unbelievable feats whereas soft scifi can assume anything about technology, even be about a fantasy theme with science being an explanation for dragons, magic etc.
