i know a few people who have had this problem and they had to revert back to there old card.... dont know if there is any way around this sorry <img src=smilies/icon_smile_sad.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

The game now runs fine <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> . I talked to the card manufacturer and they were no help. I e-mailed Microsoft and their first suggestion was to roll back the driver. I had tried earlier versions but that didn´t help. Their next suggestion was to delete the saved games folder. I did that and the program now starts up and runs <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> . Something so simple I hadn´t even thought of it. Hope this helps someone else. Thanks all for your responses. Keith Z.

Regetfully, that is a common ocurance with free lancer. The Auto save cause problems with new games. Folks don´t think to delete it when starting a new game. <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>
