world conquest games

I played Rize of Nations, and I got Rome: Total War, neither of em have what i am talking about. Never checked Civilization or Supreme Commander..so those might have what I am looking for...I get back to ya once trials are downloaded <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> anyhow, what I mean is that its a &quot;today’s&quot; day world. You build up your nation, and attack all those around it. You also have control over economy, military etc. I am just in a need of an very challenging and interesting strategy game, I played some kind of demo about world conquest a few years ago. Name forgotten, but i do know that even tho graphics sucked major time...game play was interesting..so I am just hopping that someone might know of a new age game (better graphics) with a similar game play gah, I ask a lot don’t I?? well there is master of orion, that sounds like what you are looking for but it is a space game, so I dont think it counts as &quot;today´s&quot; type world lol.

Civ II was my favourite. That thing had me hooked for months.

As atreides mentioned..its not like world game I talked about, but it seems like an very interesting strategy game none the less. RPG maybe? but the fact u can just kill em all is too good to miss, I will proly be getting that also, the Masters of Orion is interesting! TOTAL CONTROL! B&amp;W is not only naff, but not really a god game, with respect to the genre. It´s literally a god game, but is in fact a mixture of RTS and Civ building for it´s genre. Theres this one where you have to take over a small, former USSR state by any means possible, government, military, crime, etc. That sounded good. I´ll try and find it.

What are you guys, barbarians? I see no mention of Hearts of Iron I and II...I can´t imagine guys the likes of Taw and err...Taw not loving these games as I do!
