Where can I find older mods for Freelancer and use them on FLMM 1.5? I have been trying to use some old mods on 1.5 but they will not activate at all.

whats the word on a new FLMM?
-
adoxa is working on a new one
-
Oh it's going to be good then. Any pages on it or anything?
-
I guess we will see it soon enough... i just had a discussion with him about the features and problems of the old versions. when its done we will see more
-
Well, I prefer using FLMM 1.44, since its the last version IGx89 released and its 100% working (well, at least for me).
-
I tried using this with the old mods and it did not work, I got a message saying file is corrupted or missing. -

Try to re-extract the mods, your 1.5 probably damaged some file.
-
It said the same thing when I used it on version 1.3.
-
I said "damaged", that means they were damaged in the past when they were in your 1.5. You uninstalled it and installed 1.3, but kept the "mods" folder with the damaged files! Now its clear? Try to re-extract the mods you wanna install.
-
I installed 1.3 first. None of the other mods with the FLMM will activate either.
-
Are you using Vista/7? Did you install to Program Files? If so, you need to right-click FLModManager.exe and "Run As Administrator". Alternatively, disable UAC.
-
It seems weird, I have Win7 64bit and I have no issues with FLMM.
Anyway adoxa, are you gonna work on FLMM soon enough? -
I just reinstalled FL last week after downgrading from XP to vast/7...
Trick is NOT to install to prog files/microbloat/freelancer
Install to users\username\games\freelancer
stick flmm in as a sub dir of your fl folder, it works perfectly, none of that uac rubbish about activating a mod, but without turning off the uac protection...
This DOES work guys, trust me.
-
just a tip, but you can turn off the uac as well as I have a secondary partition just for my games and I put everything from the game to FLMM in D:\Microsoft Games\Freelancer and I never have a problem.

This is so damn wrong... But somehow, miracliously, it works! -
How's it wrong? That's what I've been doing. Seems the most organized and best method to get things to work.
