Don´t bag the Israeli´s guys, the IAF is one of the most feared air forces in the world. They have pulled off some unbelievable aerial attacks in the past and Spear should be damn proud of his bretheren. I do not take sides in the current conflict however, Israel and Palastine look like two bickering children at the moment. As Mustang and Spear said, the IAF is one of the best air forces in the world, the RAF, USAF, and pretty much any other air force in the world would think not once, not twice, not even thrice, but they would think a dozen times before they challenged an airforce that decimated two hundred airplanes in a day. Those may be American F-15 and F-16s they´re flying but they´re flying them better than any American ever could. (and probably again in World War III) I do believe that was the good ´ole U.S. The only reason we lost Vietnam, was because of a bunch of crack smoking hippies proclaiming "peace" and other such bullsh!t. Besides, Vietnam was the battle, the Soviet Union was the war. I think we won that one quite handily. Besides, each country has specific areas they may be better at, such as America´s superior production, Israel´s being air force (although it comes from America, heh), and Britain... Well, they seem more well rounded. They have the tech and decent air force, but don´t have the production abilities the U.S. does. You don´t have to explain anything to me Spear, I have spilled my blood and my peace of mind for the freedom of others. I have seen things that I can´t even post here because it will be deleted right away. This haunts me ever since with images that are burned in my memory forever. All this ended when I took a piece of shrapnel from a mortar granade in my knee and was labled "unfit for militairy service". That´s what I meant to say, you are not the only ones that has suffered, there are millions of others that suffered under a regime of madman and sadists and NOT by choice either. This hapens all over the world and you guys act like everything is about your problems. And while you are opening your oh so proud history books, does it also state how the the people of Israel attacked the Brits because they were in the way as a peace keeping force between you and the Arabs? Settle folks, im a bit of a war buff so I see this conversation come up in so many forums. It always ends up in Americans saying they bailed us out and the rest of the allies calling them whimps for cowering behind the Atlantic and not getting involved earlier. The long and short of it, is that every country made a contribution to winning the war. But the 3 main factors of winning the war were the US, the UK and Russia. The war could have possibly been won by the UK and by Russia but at the cost of many more lives, the US greatly helped in speeding up the process. I for one thank the US for thier contribution to the war and in particular to the Pacific theatre, for without them my own homeland (Australia) would have been invaded by the Japs. The UK sure as hell didn´t help out in Australia´s hour of need, despite Australia being part of the Commonwealth. They gave us about 24 spitfires and that was it. Th Vietnam war was never going to be successful, that was always a bogus war. Half the vets (including my dad) will attest to that, no-one should have been there fighting. Ok lets jus say that with out the U.S the axis would have few accross to England and best us up but with out the U.K the Americans wouldnt have had a large enough base of operations in Europe to lauch an assualt on France.
