Don´t let the actions of the few outweight the actions of the many. Spear, Jewish terrorists did attack the Brits it´s a well documented fact. The Irgun (spelling?) bombed the King David Hotel back in 1947, I think. But the Irgun was just a gang of vigilantes that were so radical even the Jewish secret resistance didn´t agree with nor harbor. The brits got a good deal of the Irgun before they left and the irresponsible terrorists were swinging from ropes. However, you can´t blame the many for the actions of a few misguided people. When Israel became a nation, America was the only nation in the world to recognize them, it took a while for the U.K came around to seeing things the Israeli way despite the fact that they had promised them the land of Israel to have as a soverign nation nearly forty years in advance. Like I said, both sides were unwilling to compromize, there are radical people on both sides, as on the Arab side as on the Israeli side. There will never be peace if both sides don´t want it, and in this case nobody want´s peace, nor the Palastinans nor the Israeli. So in humble opinion both sides are wrong and others have to suffer that don´t choose to. And I mean on both sides, they both live in fear, one side from terrorist attacks and the other side for retaliation that is not always done on good intel and inocent people have to pay the ultimate price for it. Unless that will change this hunk of junk will never find peace. And we don´t need to open any history books to know this has never happend and it prolly never will. Don´t you just love the human race! I am just happy that I can still live a reasonable life, but it will never be what "normal" people call a life, but nothing I can do about that anymore. I have done my share on this world and from my point of view I was able to make a difference for a small portion of the world population, I hope that is enough to pave the way for the future. From the things I have seen in my turbulent past I feel that nobody learned anything from history. Even if they claim they do. its human nature to want more than they have i´m afraid, and we seem to ahve an inablility to tollerate others that arent like us. Almost all wars are started becuase of these reasons. At least we can say that the big hueg nations arent waring anymore, it looks like the littler nations want in on it. so in a way, as the conditions in alot of countries slowly get better and improves maybe the need for war will slowly subside... ...we can only hope Arcon ------ freedom fighter by day opressor by night

i was not about to enter this argument earlier, cos it flew off the rails, but now i would just like to make a minor point hands up if you´re a terrorist or government official or military general responsible for initiating an act of mass violence and bloodshed hands up if your are personally responsible for an act that compromised world peace or global security hands up if you can personally claim credit for the skills, training or historical accomplishements of the armed forces of any nation on the face of this earth anyone? well that is settled then nobody here started or won any wars, so lets quit insulting and accusing each other hmmm? Excellent points, gentlemen. I´d like to steer this conversation a bit to the side if I may. Since I´m an American and was somewhat affected by the terrorist attack on our country on 9-11 (I wasn´t shaking in my boots or anything but I certainly felt sorry for all those who died in the attack) here´s an argument or discussion I´d like to get some feedback on. (I´m also very thankful for the stalwart approach the U.K. has taken and firmly showed their support for us as well as the other countries that have joined in) Anyway as someone mentioned, these little nations show their desire to war and fight, yet, in these days small nations would be fu**ed if they tried to pick on a bigger nation. So, why wouldn´t they want to use a form of terrorist warfare so while officially they condemn terrorist actions, unofficially they give money, resources, manpower etc. to them? Seems to me that nations could attack with impunity as long as they have no physical links to these terrorist organizations. I got to say that Majors right there. Think about it, say your the leader of Santerini (a REALLY small greek island) and say that its got its independance from greece and you are its president and say u hate America. You want to fight them but you´ve got no army. So if you were THAT despreate to try and destroy them wouldnt you result to terrorist warfare? Its wrong i know but you can deny that it can be effective when properly operated. Targeting Civies is a suicidal move though because you dont just get the army of the nation you asre fighting against on your back you also get the general public (which is a REALLY bad idea) take the IRA. They were (and still are to a much more limited extent) a terrorist group trying to free northern island from what they believed was british oppression. And because they had no real army they formed a terrorist cell which had the intention of imploying hit and run/terroritst tactics to try and get rid of the british army. If they had gone for a all out fight they would hav been slaughterd but because they did what they did the UK couldnt effectivly stop them so the government started 2 negotiate and the matter is being peacefully resolved) "Now you will see the true power of the Saiyen Race!!!" I know about the Ihrguhnh, My fathers uncle was one of the men who raided Brittish Airbases during "The Night of the Airplanes", He captured and tortured Brittish soldiers that had done the same thing onto his comrades. Yes, he raided. Yes, he did horrible things. Yes, he was a extremist/terrorist. Yes, he slayed innocent men. Yes, he did things that shouldn´t be done. But fact remains, his wife had been taken to Dachau (after surviving Brikenau), his home had been systematicly attacked by arab tribesmen, his friends had been terrorised for their entire life, first by the poles, then by the nazis and then by the brittish and their arab "friends". I had two other great uncles who fought for the brits in WWII, one of them survived only to be killed in the war for independece. This was the fate that god placed upon us, his chosen. I will not plant myself on high horses saying that I care alike for all mankind. I do not. I do hate the people that blow up Israeli children more than I do the one who kills innocent palestinians. I do anmire my great uncle who survived three wars (not counting the wars of 1956, 1967 or the war before the war of independance), who butchered his fellow man, who burned, blew up and lacked regard for human life. Fact remains, his goal was accomplished, Israel will never give in to foreign anti-semetism, his bloodline lives on, his bothers blood in avenged.
