well you´d hope LOL, if FLO came out before FL was released....wouldn´t work.. I think FLO is supposed to be more than private servers, more like an official MMOG. I´ve heard that it´s going to be pay per month like EQ etc, so it wouldn´t be private servers, unless Microsoft wants more money <img src=smilies/icon_smile_tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> FL standard is able to have persistant universes, because the host can save the game state. I dunno about that player cap of 16, but wouldn´t the cap be more based on the hardware of the server than the game? Seems silly to hard code it in.

Right now, we have Freelancer, which is designed to be a kickass single player game. And I think its a total bonus that we get something MMOG like included! And becuase it is just supposed to be a single player game, its quite expected for its multiplayer to max out at 16 players. But who knows...maybe there are ways to go past the number. *shrug* Freelancer Online, on the other hand, is right now, just a concept. I guess if FL sells well and recieves good recognition, then maybe, just maybe, DA/MS will consider developing FLO. That is what i hope will happen...without the monthly dues of course <img src=smilies/icon_smile_wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>. because if you have an entire living universe with only 6 living players in it...the troubles u have to go thru just to get to the other guy will be enormous...and by the time u get there, he would already be a million or so miles away..get my point? i prefer one really big server where everyone plays together...i hope that is what will happen. currently (if my failing memory serves me correctly) MP is 16 player only... but what i´m thinking about is that those 16 people can make a huge impact in the game.. think about it..in single player your more or less on your own.. no matter how good you are there´s a limit in what you can influence and can´t.. but in MP all bets are off... i bet blockading a sector is certainly feasible if you have 16 people... heck.. with 16 elites i bet we have the necessary fire power to start our own house!! house lancer!! <img src=smilies/icon_smile_shock.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle> so yeah.. even if FLO doesn´t get made i´m pretty sure we can replicate it using FL.. -Expect the worst in life, that way you´ll never be disappointed

Yeah, you could probably seriously f*** up the economy with sixteen people working together. Heh, have a group of several people hold both ends of the tradelands heading to a planet that imports crap, and then wait for prices to go up.

Merlin, its like a mini MMOG. Well at first I was going to buy Freelancer so we can get the DSA back into online space simming but the more I read about the game the more I feel it´s not going to be a real sim where you need skill to win battles. Point &amp; Click on a target is something my grandpa can do while he is taking a nap. Besides I don´t really feel like getting RSI.
