Yes, my mod was delete all of original system and without causeing CTD.
-
How though? I remeber you saying that before.

when u delete ALL system u also need to clear all the sp ini files and u need to define another system as startsystem in SP.
Another way is to delete them and make another system called Li01 within the required stuff. -

But you need to edit some exe files.
I like to share what I know, but my poor English can't let me do that. :oops:
-
Type it in your normal language, and I'm sure I can find a decent translator. I really want to know this though.

Here's the English translation for anyone:
QuoteI only said that the essential part (other partially modifies, how you can refer to inside openSP are change): First opens newplayer.fl, inside: system = Li01 Replacing. For example changes into: system = Mu01 This file's other partially modifies, how can you refer to inside openSP are change. Comes again by the Hex type edition program, opens the freelancer.exe file, the search: Li01 Then replaces the galaxy name which it above you revises, for example by the Mu01 substitution. In addition must search for in this file: FP7_system Changes into equally it the new galaxy name which you establish. I remembered not greatly so long as whether to look for the freelancer.exe file then, you should better search for the EXE table of contents inside related file. The reason that will cause, if your detachment Li01 and so on galaxy CTD reason, were mainly these Hex code, if you replaced the galaxy which them you established, will then not have CTD to occur again. Other revisions looked like me saying that how you could refer to inside openSP are change, because too many have been partial, I could not record all of a sudden, but most important was the part which above me said.

Oh, you can use English, because now I can't understand what you meaning. :mrgreen:
-
lol, k.
What I was saying is that I am a little confused by what you were saying but what I did get out of it was that I just have to change the starting system(s) in the newplayer.ini and the freelancer.exe? Also, how do I find the values of FP7 and Li01?
-
Ok, I try to do my best.
Key point is :
You need to use hex editor to edit any exe or dll what in \EXE\ directory.
Find the "Li01" and "FP7_system", and change it to your new system's name.
Also you need to find all of *.fl and *.ini files includ "Li01" and "FP7" system's thing, change it to your new system's name.
That is all of you need to change, when you finish it, the CTD will be gone for ever.
Hope you can understand what I mean, sorry for my poor English.

Astrix, you can delete any system freely if you need't story line, but keep mind to UNIVERSE.INI
Take look this:
Quote
[Base]
nickname = Intro1_Base
system = Li01 //lol
strid_name = 196766
file = Universe\Systems\Intro\Bases\Intro1_Base.ini
BGCS_base_run_by = W02bF35[Base]
nickname = Intro2_Base
system = Li01
strid_name = 196766
file = Universe\Systems\Intro\Bases\Intro2_Base.ini
BGCS_base_run_by = W02bF35[Base]
nickname = Intro3_Base
system = Li01
strid_name = 196766
file = Universe\Systems\Intro\Bases\Intro3_Base.ini
BGCS_base_run_by = W02bF35So, that is why you got crash when delete Li01, just change it

-
Mind my goofiness,
How do i change the name of the sector?
-
Its in one of the infocard dlls. Somewhere around 1400 I think.
-
Yeah to change names is mearly entries in info cards,
but if your wishing to remove whole sectors, like Li01
then all u need to do inorder for Fl not to error and crash is just remove all entries relating to Li01
so u need to remove the entries from the universe.ini which defines your universe
it would also be wise to remove entries in such places as market ships under equipmentand
mbases ect as these will have references to bases with npc's or missions listed in your deleted system ie Li01.Appart from that, this is the beauty of freelancer.
the core engine mearly interprets and installs the content
meaning u can revamp the entire game just based on your own coded .ini files. -
Guess thats why it still has such a community.
