I did it in the Phoenix! Tried it in the Crusader, but failed. You just have to after burn close to it and get out of its line of site.

I´ve attempeted the last Mission in a Phoenix also. Just stick close to the Ion Cannon, it makes it eassier to get out of the range. But I still perfer to use the Shroud - A Top Gun Through and Through -
