Eve: The second genisis VS Freelancer

I am sick of people comparing. Why do you do it? Why can´t you be happy that there will be multiple good games? Why does the game you support have to be so superior than anything else? I didn´t pay $2,000 for a computer to play one game on it. I want to play MANY GREAT games. Just look at last year and the RPG´s. There was this thing between the MW crowd and NWN crowd. They were going back and forth saying there game was so much better, while the other one sucked. Well, you know what? I loved them both. I remember a time when there were no computer RPG´s. And i was thankful that there were many quality rpg´s out. It´s jsut like the space sims. When was the last good one released? There are none. But, all of a sudden there are a few coming out. Instead of being happy about that, you people have to bash one because it´s not the one you support. Well, i´m thankful we have choices now. So, enough with the stupid comparisons.

ahem, I own about 10 space sims, and I love to compare them, they each have their pluses and minuses. I´m sure Freelancer will be good, as well as Eve. I personally will get both eventually, but I don´t know ´everything´, so if anyone knows more info about EVE, rumors and opinions welcome. Oh, there is something called Ex-Lax, should help you Dave, I think.

Eve online is not a simulation, you dont control ship in battle like you do in FL!

I havent followed the development on EVE for a half year. Is it still in progress? Well, well. Im putting my money on Freelancer. I Rule!!!!!

Well, I played the Eve-online beta. I´m probably breaking some NDA right now, but it is not a simulation. It´s a RPG like Earth and Beyond, but even more so and the graphics aren´t as good. EVE is not a Simulation, but neither is Freelancer. The battle interface for Freelancer is so over simplefied that every noob can play it.

Now Kiddies, was that so hard?? Hearing from an Eve Beta tester being able to compare to Freelancer is exactly what I was looking for. One more thing, please try and grow up people, or join the military. Then you will grow up a little faster, its a requirement there.

We´re only getting tired of all the EVE fans who come to TLR and start sayibg that EVE rocks and Fl sucks and stuff. Just like the &quot;Joystick vs. Mouse&quot; discussions, we try to avoid this kind of conversations. We´re open to discuss but all parties should want to. If the FL fans (for instance) only say that EVE sucks and Fl rocks, you´ll never be able to discuss properly. just speaking the truth, albiet, it may be hard to take for some. It sounds like you have quite a clique going here, a newcomer with an opinion and interest in freelancer that may not be ´wow yippee kayay´ doesn´t appear to be within the tolerance of this small group. Too bad.

You don´t understand. There is no point to comparing EVE and Freelancer. Theres been a lot of threads on this, and they always come to the same conclusion. And please, theres no need to call anybody children/noobs here, I´m sure you can press your point in a more grown up way.

Star Rider Yes we do have a nice community here. But we have rules that <b> EVERYONE </b> is required to follow. I do not care if you´re an newcomer with different ideas or an established presence here, no one is allowed to get personal with the
