I´m working on this on more than one level. One is a new forum, another is to identify the main bug in the current interface. Then a move to for instance DNN will be in order. But I would like to keep like 99,9% of the content... So.... it takes time.. Cheers Best Regards Christian "Bargib" Koerner The Lancers Reactor

Beeing from Denmark, and often seeing the butifull situated castle at Elsinore, it´s fun for me to see this kind of discussion here... BTW, the castles website in english is <A href=´http://here: http://www.kronborgcastle.com/´ Target=_Blank>http://www.kronborgcastle.com/ Best Regards Christian "Bargib" Koerner The Lancers Reactor

I´ve actually been working on getting everything lined up for E and BP for a few weeks. The hosting/traffics is all accounted/provided for, the domain name is paid well into the future, so costs are low. So no danger that E and BP should be ruined by this "little" website. And I cant keep away, I´m just not responsible anymore... and thanks for all the kind words btw! Now I need to go into a spam-fest.... Muhahhahahhahahha.... j/k Best Regards Christian "Bargib" Koerner The Lancers Reactor

    1. When they are done (about the same time FL3 is going to ship...) 2. Of course! Best Regards Christian "Bargib" Koerner Editor in Chief, The Lancers Reactor

Hehe - this was fun to read. Honostly, I´m in a sort of extended vacation atm, and only doing some stuff to keep the wheels turning. But I honostly do belive that FL2 is underway, and I expect to take up a more prominent role once more when I get to collect some more info on THAT game... I started TLR for three reasons: a.) I got the option from MS Denmark to run a competition on Starlancer, if I had a Starlancer website. I only ran a Age of Kings website back then. So I made a small website on Starlancer, and it sort of just started growing and growing from there. That I loved space-sims was just a bonus! b.) I wanted a place to practise my coding skills, since I did have positions in my real life, where I did not get to code very much. c.) I also wanted to see if I could build a self-sustaining friendly community, where people had a good time. I based it on my experience of running games-site, the first one called "Temple of Command & Conquer" back around 1994-1995. It was made with Perl and ran on a Unix server from my school. The first member to the forums was a collegue of mine, but Hellcat came onboard shortly after. He was also the first staffmember. There where tough times in the sites life, both due to situations in my life, and due to things happening on the site. Closest to closing was when I lost my job a year ago - this also meant I lost my hosting deal at the time - luckely another benefactor stepped up to help us all. You are all a big part of my life - both current and former members, and I DO have plans for the site, but had to postpone the new forums due to both performance and security concerns, but hope to get that upgrade up with the next software release of the forum-code - with my custom adaptions. Oh - and in my real life I´m working on a solution for people to easily make their own homepages. We expect to launch an US/International solution in a few months time! Just a quick update: I have been (and still am) plagued with wome back issues, which mean that I can´t sit down for extensive timeperiods. Very annoying. I´m under treatment for that, but that is to why I have been absent. Also I found some serious issues with the software version of the new forums, so I have helped the authors of the software to improve the next version. That version should be out in the end of september, and shortly after that period - unless I again find serious issues - I´ll be transferring. I´ll check into it asap.... Update: Should now been fixed - please tell me if it happens again! There has been some isssues, and honostly - i think only the new forums can help me there... we have way to much content here as it is.... Remember we have around 200 MB of data only in these forums, and that is some data to juggle around on a lowly small machine, and with all the hits this baby gets, I´m just barly keeping in front of the tuning curve.... Best Regards Christian "Bargib" Koerner Editor in Chief, The Lancers Reactor

All nicks and postings should be transferred for you all... Also all the old archived postings from all of the way back to the beginning of this site are back! /Bargib in a short intermezzo on his vaction

Neo - I understand your concern... I´m trying to work on the forums untill they get the same level of quality, that I expect out of a good working solution. There are some options and things, that I have been missing from these forums... But remember: it is the people who make the community, not the tools! Best Regards Christian "Bargib" Koerner Editor in Chief, The Lancers Reactor

ROFL! Guys - as we hope things will progress with the Lancer universe, I hope that we will continue living and progressing... And what features are you missing in the new, that you have in the old?!?!?!?
