/slap sorry. just tired of everyone posting mod ideas or announcing the NEW mod they are gonna start to work on instead of just doing one and THEN say something like, &quot;Hey look, I made a mod and here is what it is like....&quot; I just don´t want to see the reactor editing forums turn into the quake/ut forums which are always full of garabage and no real content... let those who are editing edit and post progress on stuff. everyone else get the frell out hehe. if you are in the forum because you want to learn how then great! learn by reading, then take what you learned and try it on a totally different file and see what you come up with on your own. then post what you learned and did here on this board. not ripping on you so much as just jacking your post <img src=smilies/icon_smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

oh you could make a ton of the mods like the pirate mod and change the files out every so often if you wanted ppl to start out differently all the time. hell, if u put back the backups you made before running the pirate mod then anyone else who join starts as normal while anyone who made an account with you while the pirate mod was up remains a pirate. as far as it sayin new york and 2k of money with the old trent model. I have looked into changing it before the mod was released but the thing kept crashing when i changed it. most likely because there is another file or two that bumps the main one that controls that part OR it had something to do with the animation of trent that it used. either way i just said screw it because folks would know as soon as they logged into the game that they were not in kansas anymore.. but we don´t have a EULA for doing that with this game thus we would be breaking laws.. also there are still alot of things in the courts yet about the EULA and how they do and do not hold up. I wouldn´t go there but that is just me. I doubt those who cheat would stay with the game long anyways guys. honestly, outside of editing the hell out of this game. the game itself does get pretty lame after awhile.

be close to breaking some internet laws though. always a touchy subject. massive online games have always had the problems of wanting to scan everyones computers to make sure they are not cheating while pissing off the customers that pay them for the service. I am sure there is a way to run checks and balances on the game without scanning someones files. though what that would be is beyond me. &lt;---Not a coder. more of a tear it apart and see what it is made out of and then find someone to put it back together for me kinda guy. well i have noticed that there are also many other factors that go into turn speed. that was just one of them. seems like it´s angle+speed+friction. don´t qoute me on that one though because i have not looked into it further yet as i am building a system atm..

i could swear they had that as part of the game but removed it. if it is there i am sure someone will bump into it sooner or later

i will be back at work on the boat for a month by the time everyone else gets the gold edition. I leave monday or tuesday. Not sure yet but it wont be much longer. Wont be back till April 4th. Should have a 24/7 server up before I go. Hopefully my roomate will stay off it so it doesn´t crash or lagout on folks from him listening to mp3´s or something.. Cham

not really a huge exploit there. any server admin worth a rats behind should be able to catch that. Cham

I would make one house armor really strong, deadly guns but weak steering another not as strong of armor or weapons but very fast and agile and the third would be a blend of the two meeting somewhere in the middle. (easier to mod too i am guessing) my two cents on your mod. Cham

down side of editing the friction settings though is that it will take longer to stop hahaha. atleast that was my conclusion when i messed with it the other day. Cham
