If you have a good Joystick it won´t matter. Especially with Flight and Space sims. I got 24 programmable buttons on my joystick. That is more then enough for most flight/space sims. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

Even less opposition?!? Gee, and I found the PC version way too easy to complete. Good thing I do not have a Dreamcast, that was I could play the game while cooking dinner and watching a movie at the same time. I see, well I do not think that they will work with the PC version since they use different instructions. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

I doubt it. Can you connect to the internet with the Dreamcast? DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

I don´t remember correctly anymore. It was a long time ago when I finished the game and I had several re-install´s so I lost my stats. I think it was about 400+. I was #1 on the killboard when I finished my 5th or 6th mission. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

Well, in my opinion the Multipay failed. Not enough missions and it works with flying through upgrades. Kinda like Unreal T and such games. No real team vs team missions either, unlike other space sims that have a wide range of team vs team missions so you can actually play as a squad 4 vs 4) instead of 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 max. EDIT: Not to forget the boxed of arena with invisible walls to prevent people from actually making some serious moves. It will be very unlikely that there ever will be a Freespace 3. Volition, the creators of Freespace 1 and 2 were bought by THQ some time ago. Interplay has the rights to the Freespace name and so far THQ or Volition did not make an attempt to buy the rights back. I only use the Auto pilot to go from A to B, to dock to stations or ships and to formate with the ships I have to escort. All the combat I do manually as it should be. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

I-War 2 has a lot of Auto-Pilot options. Not so strange since you fly in a Capital Ship instead of a Fighter. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

The 2nd I-War gives you more freedom then in the 1st I-war. And the controls are easier as well, now you have a computer that assist you with the trusters. But you can disable it for some real hard core space acrobatics. In general, I-War 2 rocks!!!!! LOL! I see. Well then you cannot play the game indeed. Well I just love the game. At least it is a challenge, unlike Stalancer. That game is just way too easy. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

I had a problem with that as well in the beginning. But it turned out that what I was doing was take too much on at the same time. If you get emails you should leave the rest unread if you come across a mission. Then you get all the info on locations and mission objectives. This way you don´t get an overflow on objectives and info. Then you can structuraly work through the red line of the story in the tempo you want. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

Not really, it is just different. And if you start playing it it is a bit difficult because the ship handles differently. You are totally free in your movements once you have figured out how to use it. And when you do know how to handle that ship you can whoop some serious arse. You can fly at 10.000 meters per second on your regular drive max. Pretty cool when you storm towards an opponent and use your agressor shield just at the right time to ram him into the next world. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

So nobody here plays it because it is too difficult eh. What a shame. DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

I had the same problem with the demo. But I bought the game anyway, still got my butt kicked by the well programmed AI I must say. Then I did not touch the game for a while. I started playing it again 2 weeks ago and now I figured out what the trick is with the flying. You can do some serious acrobatics once you know how it works. I am now in Act 2 and Flying in a Advanced Patcom with some serious kick ass weapons on it. The freedom you have is awsome and the playing area is so big that I still did not even visited 30% of it all. And the random happenings is also pretty cool. Sometimes when you exit hyperspace you drop in the middle of a large space battle. You can either choose a side and join in or make a quite exit. Really great. And the graphics are awsome!!! DSA Squadron Commander Dying Star Alliance

I find it very weird that you wolves actually need lock or seeker missiles at almost point blank range. And then still, who is dumb enough to fly in a straight line when someone is at that range on your tail. But that must be me then. Besides, Starlancer is more a arcade gun game anyway. Most missiles suck anyway, unlike other space sims. There you can actually use them for something. In general the missiles in Starlancer are just a little anoyance factor. The same goes for the Capital ships. They are nothing more then a oversized torpedo bomber that happens to be able to carry fighters. The only way they are actually able to shoot down a fighter is with a lucky shot with that big cannon. I am now playing I-War 2, and that 150 meter long Heavy Corvette that you can fly there is able to bare more firepower then the Yamato. With the Anti Matter Beam with a 4 KM range you will slice and dice that Yamato in not time and sell it for scrap. Just a few facts, no flames intended.
