  • HL2 banned in Aus?

    Kind of OT: I´ve only played Blue Shift, and I understand that that was the suckiest of all HL games, but it used the same engine right? the controls were so twitchy I couldn´t do anything right. Can´t shoot straight (took me a whole clip of Beretta on those little cute alien dogs), can´t jump straight, whenever I strafe I fall into some pit because Barney overdo the move - this Barney character´s ass´ mass must be so enormous he needs an inertial dampener more than the Enterprise. And I know I´m no idiot on FPS since I finished Halo (Legendary diff) in 2 days. BS is now uninstalled, and please tell that not all of the other HL games´ controls are like this, I´m giving up on the series.

    All cars on the road conspire to make my driving experience miserable - and why shouldn´t they? they´re paid by that big network producer to up the rating of the show that is my life. And you are all phonies. I really don´t get how getting DA to create games and getting &quot;Bargib&quot; to set up this &quot;site&quot; on this Al Gore´s &quot;internet&quot; (admit it, this &quot;internet&quot; is just one big intranet made up by the network) and then pay all of you to interact with me in the forum will improve the rating.   • Found a gem of a game

    One of the best games ever - perhaps even better than WC (WC´s storyline were kinda corny and overdramatized in places, FS was all-realistic and believable). Not to mention the awesome ship designs, and ultra-cool designations: Myrmidon. Hercules. Medusa. Shaitan. Lucifer. Raksasha. Shiva. I´m still gluing fingers together and sacrificing chickens (KFC) to random gods so that there would be a 3rd Freespace. And....I played FS 1 and 2 using no joystick at all. Just keyboards - the way I finished SL (ooohh I still remember the way X2 people had fits about this particular confession of mine - such heresy! <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>)

    I don´t have any or their albums, but I do watch a bit of MTV and to me they sound just like a pack of angry teenagers shouting in my ear - I think their lyric is supposed to be anti-establishment or anti status quo or something, but to me they´re just anti peace-and-quiet.
