you cant reduce the size of the well, it is set at that size because it is the size of the 3d object. just remember though, the cores of blackholes are supposed to be even smaller theoretically, most are supposed to be the size of a basketball, the galaxy sized ones, the size of a house.

you should try making the base in another system, alaska is kinda screwy, cause your not supposed to go there but once. BTW, i havent stopped working on the MOD, i have just been running into alot of bugginess, plus i have been helping my friend with yardwork/digging a hole (because im getting paid from his dad ) i should be able to put some more time into the system when i am done with the hole (its been raining here, so that has been complicating things a bit)

i changed it, for now, its not gonna be the same cause the background (starsphere) that WAS there was having conflicts with the blackhole i put in, the blackhole is not there right now, so dont go looking for it but it will be. the conflict was that one of the sprites of the background looked like a blackhole really far away, and i guess it had conflicts with my blackhole because the little sprite´s background color stopped being transparent and u got this big black square pic pasted onto your starsphere.... NOT cool, so the one there right now is temporary until i find one cool enough to suit my needs

earth to mars should be THAT close together, it should be earth to mercury, and i made it that way because its supposed to mean extra power for the trade lane as you get really close to the sun

uhhh, thats like RIGHT next to a tradelane, which could screw it up, just remember, the well is HUGE (like 100k in diameter) and the blackhole jooks VERY wierd when u get within 20k of it, btw, the huge vortex can only be seen from one side, from the other it looks screwed up, try fliping it 180 degrees, and moving it farther away from any objects heres a zip of all MY blackhole files, the blackhole_core.3db(the sphere) goes in the blackhole folder, and blackhole.3db(the well) goes in the misc folder. ww.geocities.com/dragonpatriarch/blackholefiles.zip

    download it here: http://www.geocities.com/dragonpatriarch/blackhole.zip (just rename it .zip.flmod , i was in a hurry and forgot to :p ) this is what it looks like: <script> <header name="Black Hole Mod"> <scriptversion> 1.0 </scriptversion> <author> Dracon, Nephilim, IGx89 </author> <modurl> http://lancersreactor.org/t/fo…_ID=13729&Forum_ID=18 </modurl> <description> Puts a black hole into the New York system! </description> </header> <data file="datasolarsolararch.ini" method="append"> <source> [Solar nickname = Blackhole_Sphere type = PLANET DA_archetype = solarlackholelackhole_core.3db material_library = solarlackholelackhole.txm solar_radius = 3000 mass = 1000000000000 [Solar nickname = Blackhole_Well type = PLANET DA_archetype = solarmisclackhole.3db solar_radius = 100000 mass = 1000000000000 </source> </data> <data file="datauniversesystemsLi01Li01.ini" method="append"> <source> [Object nickname = BlackHole1 pos = -39020, 0, -22925 rotate = 0, 0, 0 ambient_color = 0, 0, 0 archetype = Blackhole_Sphere ring = Zone_BH, solarlackholeh.ini spin = 0, -1, 0 [Object nickname = BlackHole2 pos = -39020, 0, -22925 rotate = 0, 0, 0 ambient_color = 0, 0, 0 archetype = Blackhole_Well spin = 0, -1, 0 [zone nickname = Zone_BH pos = -39020, 0, -22925 rotate = 0, 0, 0 shape = ring size = 3000, 700, 200 sort = 99.500000 </source> </data> </script> try that

are you sure? it should have unziped to you frelancer directory (just the freelancer folder) anyways, if you dont have it, the jumpgate is right outside manhattan, you cant miss it btw, i got the mars base to work, i guess it doesnt like leeds, cause when i changed it from that it worked fine :p

definetly making the mod script first, then making a dll creator #3 isnt really needed, and could cause conflicts (heck FL has conflicts with ITSELF) the way you could make the dll creator work is by having everything people want named/infocarded is by having them type up in the object block, or whatever: comment= flmodnamestring. blahblah comment= flmodinfocard. blahblah and the game automatically creates the dll based on the text they write, and searchs for, then updates the ids_name and ids_infocard parameters in the block

    ok, add this to solararch.ini: [Solar nickname = Blackhole_Sphere type = PLANET DA_archetype = solarlackholelackhole_core.3db material_library = solarlackholelackhole.txm solar_radius = 3000 mass = 1000000000000 and this too: [Solar nickname = Blackhole_Well type = PLANET DA_archetype = solarmisclackhole.3db solar_radius = 100000 mass = 1000000000000 then add this to the system you want: [Object nickname = BlackHole1 pos = 60000, 0, 0 rotate = 0, 0, 0 ambient_color = 0, 0, 0 archetype = Blackhole_Sphere ring = Zone_BH, solarlackholeh.ini spin = 0, 0, 0 and this too: [Object nickname = BlackHole2 pos = 60000, 0, 0 rotate = 0, 0, 0 ambient_color = 0, 0, 0 archetype = Blackhole_Well spin = 0, 0, 0 [zone nickname = Zone_BH pos = 60000, 0, 0 rotate = 0, 0, 0 shape = ring size = 3000, 700, 200 sort = 99.500000 just edit the postions and rotations of the object until you see what you like **edit** if you want the stuff to spin, then just change the spin= 0, 0, 0 to something like: spin= 0, -1, 0 Edited by - Dracon on 12-04-2003 20:03:41

sounds great thx man btw, some of u were wondering why some of the planets were called "police planet" i found out it was because of the reputation parameter on the planets, and when there is no base on the plaent FL just says the name of the faction, even if it has a name ***edit*** i seem to be having problems with my mars base, when i dock it just goes black and the only button you can see is the launch button(thank god) but its all screwed up. that ever happened to any of you? any ideas how to fix it? Edited by - Dracon on 12-04-2003 21:08:20

i have updated the zip file (its 62 K and i just want to know yalls opinion of the system and where everything is, before i move on with positioning all the bases, docking rings, and stuff because it takes alot of editing to move around stuff w/o screwing something up. btw, whats the moderators email address, i wanna email him this, and try to get it posted on TLR.

well, i got the asteriods to go away, but the field just fades on the nav map and doesnt completely go away.... oh well, now on my list to do: bases, the oort cloud, tradelane from earth to jupiter, NPCs and NPC ships in space, and some goddies

great, im tryng to add the asteriod belt, and no matter how much i try i cant seem to get rid of those little mineable shootable asteriods, even with the exclusion zones, any got an idea to solve this?
