    ok ill explain a few things: Now in Shiparch.ini you can specify hardpoints. these are points on your ship that have guns, thrusters, cms, mines, torps, lights, and a few other other things. You can change the level of of guns or turrets allowd on your ship. now ill take something for shiparch to show you an example. this is the gun section from my osiris mods, pertaining to the osiris. although its from that ship this is what it could look like for other ships. hp_type = hp_gun_special_10, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_9, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_8, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_7, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_6, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_5, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_4, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_3, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_2, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_1, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, HpWeapon03, HpWeapon04, HpWeapon05, HpWeapon06 hp_type = hp_gun_special_1 this tells you what level gun HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, etc this tells you the hardpoints the highest level you can go is 10. now what happens is you can specigy which gun to what level u want. now say u want hpweapon04 to be able to only hold level 2 weapons it would look like this hp_type = hp_gun_special_2, HpWeapon04 you understand what im getting at now? now if u look around there are other HP stypes such as ones for thrusters and so on. the section above that really long one, that will make it so that all 6 weapon hardpoints on your ship will be able to hold all weapon classes. so u can use that as a reference. now this is the easy stuff that i think you want to know. BUT if you want to add brand new hardpoints this is much more difficult than this.     well in goods i believe if u put the line like addon = Sunslayernick, HpWeapon01, 1 i think it will work itll have them when u buy your ship, but 1. your prices will go up because of the sunslayer cost 2. if you unmount the torps you cant remount i think it hsould work but not positive just try it and see what happens. i feel it should work because alot of time i have seen people loading turrets on to ships where the hpmount is only turret no lvl 1 or 2 or etc Mess With the Best Die lIke the Rest Check out my Freelancer Website FLPoliceclan.tripod.com AIM SN - SuBZeRo69069 (feel free to IM me if you need any Modding help)

    oooo ok cause i didnt know that it reverted back thats retarded lol, cause i specified a new .cmp u know. well that answers perfectly why the osiris worked with its shields. hmm now to my next question, when i create a new shield mount for the ship, what should i put for position and orientation, does it matter at all cause i personally like to have it match that of hpmount. ok i will do some testing of this later. now for my next thing is lights. i chnaged the dock lights to normal lights and the lights "fall off" when i take off, how do i fix this because i dont want all of my ships to not have any docking lights you know just the one ship that i want. is there anyway to keep the the files from switching back at all? thanx guys this was abig help i fonally got some decent answers i appreciate it Mess With the Best Die lIke the Rest Check out my Freelancer Website FLPoliceclan.tripod.com AIM SN - SuBZeRo69069 (feel free to IM me if you need any Modding help)
