So I take it you´re not interested because there´s no feedback or suggestions. Glad I wasted my time again...

Hello Aurora...and welcome to Lancers Reactor. Anything you need just let me know... Just to let you all know Asylum51 has new Forums at <A href=´http://www.asylum51.com/ipb_forums/index.php?´ Target=_Blank>http://www.asylum51.com/ipb_forums/index.php?</a> You have to register before you can access the Forums...even if you were registered in the old Forums...

There is not a mod like that, at least not that I know of but whoever is running the server may be running the <A href=´http://www.lancersreactor.org/t/Download/Download.asp?ID=1273´ Target=_Blank>IONCROSS Server Operator</a> program which allows characters to be transfered to any system. They may be using a cloaking mod which makes you seem invisible. <img src=´http://sigs.ipbrowser.net/iprandom.png ´>

Going for the points here... My guess would be you´re in love! Either that or you found a bag of money in your travels <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

Yo! I think you mean cow pee (urea - the chief solid component of mammalian urine; synthesized from ammonia and carbon dioxide and used as fertilizer and in animal feed and in plastics )...which is in most commercial fertilizers...

Eh_Steve <img src=´http://www.lancersreactor.org/images/news/bp175.gif ´> I don´t think this Forum or the others are going to die any time soon... They have been going strong for over 2 years and we get an average of 10 new people registering for the Forums every day...

I wouldn´t be opposed to making a Forum as Taw says for vets... It would have to be moderated by someone with Taw´s sense of maturity and responsibility though... Chips and Finalday have enough to handle already... any suggestions? Also the way the Forums are set up it wouldn´t be possible to let just certain people post there or read what´s in that Forum. So what are your thoughts about that... My thoughts are, that the whole site needs an overhaul. I would love to keep the site up and running and add a lot more games but the way the site is hanging up all the time it don´t seem like the thing to do right now and nobody wants to help out anymore and I just don´t have time to do everything by myself... Any suggestions will be taken into consideration.

If you downloaded the <A href=´http://www.lancersreactor.org/t/Download/Download.asp?ID=1786´ Target=_Blank>Federation Ship Pack MOD by Archedyne</a> then the file name should be federationshippack.zip.flmod If it is federationshippack.zip.zip change the file name to federationshippack.zip.flmod I don´t know why but for some people when they download a mod something changes the file name to .zip.zip from its original name of .zip.flmod After you rename the mod back to federationshippack.zip.flmod then just double left click on the file name and the Freelancer Mod Manager will take over and unzip the mod and then the mod manager screen will pop up automatically... Then you can click on the mod and then click on activate... You did already download and install the <A href=´http://www.lancersreactor.org/t/download/download.asp?id=927´ Target=_Blank>Freelancer Mod Manager</a>....didn´t you?
-
If you want help with your question you´re going to have to give us more information about what you are trying to do... You downloaded what zip file??? Most if not all of the files are mods that end in .zip.flmod which tells the Freelancer Mod Manager to handle the zip file and extract the mod into the Freelancer Mod Manager - mods folder so you can activate the mod using the mod manager... You say you put whatever file you downloaded into your saved games folder? The only thing I can think of would be a saved game file... So what did you download?

Had to dig some to find out where to download the MOD. That link you gave don´t work for me. I did find what I was looking for by starting at <A href=´http://www.ioncross.com/´ Target=_Blank>http://www.ioncross.com/</a> Clicked on Freelancer: Total War and got to the page were you can click on <b>How to Contact </b> <A href=´http://207.210.72.138/~joeboomz/freelancer/´ Target=_Blank>http://207.210.72.138/~joeboomz/freelancer/</a> Click on <b>Installation </b> and you´ll see where it says The loader can be downloaded <b>here </b> (version 2.0a, updated April 8, 2005). Read this entire page before attempting to install it. You have been warned. I suggest that you do as it says and read the entire page... It will save you a lot of headaches... <img src=smilies/icon_smile_big.gif width=15 height=15 border=0 align=middle>

You may want to see what is actually using your system resources before you try to shut it down but some process names aren´t very clear so you may want to try a program called Process Explorer, latest version that I know of is 9.12 Here´s a link if you want from Download.com <A href=´http://www.download.com/Process-Explorer/3000-2094_4-10325509.html?tag=lst-0-1´ Target=_Blank>Process Explorer 9.12</a> Another program is <A href=´http://www.download.com/MKN-TaskExplorer-2005-SR2/3000-2094_4-10402826.html?tag=lst-0-3´ Target=_Blank>MKN TaskExplorer 2005 SR2 2.3</a> TaskExplorer provides diagrams for each process containing CPU- or memory-usage of the process, which is helpful for finding the applications slowing down your system. Both are free by the way.

Open the engine goods file and just add a space that´s all you need in that file. It´s empty and sometimes you get an error because of the fact that it is empty. So like I said open the engine goods file and just put in a space or you can just put a ; and save it and you should be good to go.

The best thing to do is change the properties of the SDK files from read only to archive and then copy your MOD files to the folder where you extracted the SDK files to...overwrite the necessary files... and then zip up your MOD with the SDK files included. Accushot is right, it sounds like your overwriting your MOD files by installing the SDK files after you activate your MOD.

To me it sounds as if a few people didn´t agree with the rules and or game play on that particular server. It happens... You cant please everyone. Thing of it is, the server operator has every right to set the policy on his or her server and if you have some suggestions on how to improve game play that´s fine, submit the ideas. Server operators are great people or they wouldn´t be spending their free time and money running a server in the first place. A MOD such as Crossfire takes months to make so to those that say they are going to steal the ideas and code it will still take a long time to put it all together and people will notice it anyway. They will notice that the MOD is copied and will give you a bunch of unwanted comments. So I wouldn´t worry about the few immature characters that are making these comments. And as far as stealing ideas and code, you don´t need to steal anything because all that information is right here on the "crap site Lancers Reactor that´s offline 80% of the time". I´d like to see them or anyone else run a site this big. There is over 30 gigs of data on this site not to mention the bandwidth usage and the connection speed Lancers Reactor has. Good luck paying for a dedicate server...and good luck spending all your free time for a bunch of people that couldn´t care less or appreciate your efforts. We´ll see how long they can hang in there and not get discourged. And to sum it up they will have to start their own community because if they submit a MOD that I think is a copy without the permission of the people that made it I wont post it anyway or give them a news post about their MOD and or server and nobody will know it exists anyway, so all their hard work and time put in will be for nothing teaching them a much needed lesson in life... Instead of complaining about Lancers being hung up all the time they should be offering to help fix the problems...but I don´t see anyone doing that...

How about a trade route calculator. Check out the <A href=´http://www.lancersreactor.org/t/Download/Download.asp?ID=1385´ Target=_Blank>Trade Route Calculator version 2.0.13.4</a> by Joghthyrn and see if that helps. "No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another."

Howdy Buck! I´m not sure but if I remember right there is one MOD that sells lights but of coarse I can´t remember the name of the MOD. If I remember right they had to add hardpoints for lights and make lights available for sale, I would imagine like any other piece of equipment. I do know that you can add options in the script.xml file that allows you to choose what colored lights you want on your ship. The 88 Flak Mystic Drive MOD has the options to pick what color lights you want when you activate the MOD. I´m sure fox wouldn´t mind if you took a look.

Z filght speed mod? What´s that a seperate mod or is that in the ship pack? All I can suggest is that you check the constants.ini file which will be in the DATA folder... <b><i>If </i> </b> there is a line under the EngineEquipConsts section that reads something like this CRUISING_SPEED = 2500 then either delete that line or change it to what you want the cruise speed to be. Make sure the properties of the constants.ini file is not set to read-only or you will not be able to edit it. If you don´t know how to check the properties of a file, just right click on the file and select properties...uncheck the read-only box and then select apply.
