It´s not possible to shoot while cloaked. Every Rheinland Valkyrie, Gunboat or Battleship uncloaked first before it fired. So the Nomads would have to do the same. And in that time, they´d die. "I don´t want to end up a corpse before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

No. By posting this, I should have a shiny new rank... no more 1st Lieutenant cr*p. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

The hard part would be knocking out their shields, unless you´re some kind of hacker with a Paralyzer missile launcher, you´ll be spending a lot of cash taking them down. Once they´re down, a Sunslayer will destroy any hull in one shot. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

Nomad ships are shieldless because they are organic. They drop the batteries as a reward to keep you going, so you don´t get blown to pieces by all the interceptors flying around. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

It´s a lot easier to eliminate one star in one system (Sol) with a small amount of resistance, than to eliminate about 48 systems, 60 stars AND all the resistance from the Houses and other factions. Better to destroy from the inside and not have many casualties than to wage full-on war and lose millions. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

If you think about it, Sol is "south-west" (down and right) of the Sirius Sector. How can you tell? Well, supposedly, the Corsairs got off the Hispania at Omicron Gamma, while the Hispania kept drifting IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS BEFORE onwards to Omicron Alpha. So the location of Sol would be a long, LONG way down and right from Omicron Gamma. It is known that those 5 ships activated their main engines and escaped the SOl system. The Bretonia lost some engines, so it basically drifted to where Bretonia is in the game, but they got there a long time after the other ships made it to Sirius, which is why Bretonia went through such a rapid industrialisation to catch up to the other houses. The Hispania had some sort of problem, caused by the Coalition sabotaging it. But it only happened AFTER the 5 ships activated their engines. So it too would have drifted to Sirius, but they would be a lot worse off because the lack of any working engines, while the Bretonia still had a few good ones. But if they were regularly using a jump hole to get between their systems, then that jump hole would probably be stable for regular use, otherwise they wouldn´t use it... But then if they did use jump holes, then why are house authorities so clueless about criminal base locations and common attack paths using jump holes? Surely they would have used these jump holes themselves early on to travel between their own systems? "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

A good escape tactic I´ve found to escape battle situations (especially when the use disruptors) is to use the thruster, kill the engine at thruster speed, then turn around and face your enemies (so you´re moving backwards). AI can´t keep up, and after about 15 seconds you should be about 2k away. Turn around, engage cruise, and easy, damage-free escape. Assign keys to the "Assign Weapon Group #" and the "Activate Weapon Group #". Then, click on your weapons list in the bottom right corner until all the weapons that will form a group are on. Then, press the Assign key. Continue if you want other groups. Then, to switch between them, just press the Activate key for the respective group. Note: changing your weapon configuration (unmounting, mounting, replacing) will mess up your groups. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

He said New LONDON, not New York. The Junker base is in the middle of the Southhampton Debris Field, about 23K ´west´ of Southhampton Shipyard. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

Geez, the Farmers´ Alliance and the LWB must really love you if you think Synth Paste is the only food in Sirius... "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

I can imagine it now... Entering Planet Manhattan... Please insert CD-ROM 471 of 929 and press ENTER. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

The best way to align yourself criminally early on is to shoot Bounty Hunters or Xenos in NY until the Rogues or Junkers are neutral, then start taking missions for them. Junkers won´t improve your rep with the Rogues much, but you´ll become friends with them, and their missions are against BH and Xenos, which is good. Once you´re good with the Rogues, progress to Lane Hackers. If you go an all fighting no trading way, go to Mactan (Magellan) then to the Islay Base (Gaians, Magellan), through the Tau systems, then the GC and Dragons in Kusari (no Farmers Alliance of Hogosha, they´ll improve yopur rep a bit with the Police or Samura), then into Rheinland for Bundschuh, Unioners and Hessians, then onwards into the Omegas and Omicrons. If you trade early on you can skip Bretonia, they´re boring. But it´s best to go through all four because you´ll be taking missions that are in your ship´s capabilities. Going straight from Liberty to Kusari will get you dead quick because of the big jump in mission difficulty. Liberty -> Rheinland is suicide unless you have a high-level escort with lots of cash, but then it would be boring. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming...

Just wonder what is the biggest human made bases around (not including planet or those stuck out from rocks like the nomad base or tekagi´s arch)

<font face=´trebuchet ms, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica´ size=2> I´m thinking, either you didn´t see the bracketed part, or you´re pulling a funny on us. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... You can´t get rid of the HUD, but close the two panes at the bottom left/right corners, and set the maneuvers bar at the top to autohide (through the Options menus), hide your mouse in a corner of the screen and take the screenshot. There should be minimal HUD space, and just cut those parts out using something like Photoshop, Paint or any other image editing tool. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... I don´t think there´ll be Jump Holes in sector E5 in Omicron Gamma and Leeds, unless the idea of crispy-skin sun-cooked spaceship appeals to you... and jump holes don´t occur in open space. "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming... AAAAAHH!"

So the white thing would be Benford Research Station? I couldn´t find that when I was combing the Badlands a while ago, wondering where it went. They attacked Willard in SP and that was OK to dock in MP, thought Benford would follow the same principle... "I don´t want to end up a corspe before my time because YOU were daydreaming...
