change the name from PrivateerTheReckoningOpenSPBeta4_65.zip.flmod to just PrivateerTheReckoningOpenSPBeta4_65.zip then open it. If only those two files are still in it, then it's a bad file.

Agree. Because sight is for chumps, real men steal invisible [sometimes non-existent] ships.
This is my question though, how hard is it to steal an invisible ship? I mean it'd be half the work of stealing a visible ship. With a visible ship, you have to get on it AND sneak it out of Liberty. An invisible ship you just have to get on, flip a switch and fly it out.

Swat, please correct me if I'm wrong, but the way it worked was that you had to make the entire system one large model. And if you docked with one, they all had the same base. As well as you could have a planet orbiting a sun but thats as far as it went, no moons.

so the way it's looking is that in order to do ANYTHING beyond default freelancer, you need Hook which is mp only...

to extend that, they would camp outside the player start point and pick new players off, they would cloak and uncloak back and forward so even if they were out gunned they'd still win. Just stupid shit like that.

I don't know how far this subject has gotten, but I know a while back, player dockable capital ships was achieved with FLHook. Well I'm curious of a few ideas.
- WITHOUT FLHOOK, is is possible to do the same thing with dockable player capital ships?
- Is there a way to make a base move, and still able to be docked with for both single and multiplayer?
- I know there are missiles that can lock on, but is there a way to make a fighter squadren for cap ships? Like if you have enough space for it, you could launch an attack crew that would even just do a single run per launch but would still return?
I know some of this may be beyond Freelancer, but I also know sellable engines and multicruise was said to be the same a couple years ago. -
Sorry Poly, like the first thread said, can't release that. That kind of cloaking almost killed Freelancer when TLR was first born. Plus from my knowledge, NPC's could still see you.

In the first Mass Effect, Joker talks about the stealth systems of the Normandy. How their heat signatures are hidden as well as LADAR is absorbed by the hull, making them undetectable. But anyone looking out a window could still see them.
Since "cloaking" is so strongly disliked, is there a way to make a device able to be turned on for a small period of time that would make it so you couldn't be seen on the radar screen nor be selectable but would still be visible?
