I feel like a n00b for asking this, but how do you set up custom encounters for your new factions? I don't know how to by hand, and when I use FLE, it keeps CTD.
Is there a tutorial on how to use FLDev? I can't figure out how to to save my life.

Think of it like high school geometry;
X+ = Right
X- = Left
Y+ = Up
Y- = Down
Z+ = Towards You
Z- = Away From You
Getting something to be just the the angle you want it is a real b***h, but in the end it just takes trial and error. Sorry there's no "quick" way that I know of.
Also, when it comes to rotation, think of it as you're moving the point in which the object is looking at around the coordinate plane while it stays in place, if that made sense to you.

There's only one way to get around it with vista, and that's if you have two hard drives. If you do, the second hard drive is writable, just move everything over there and it should be fine. That's the only way I'm even able to do anything with my mod. Now, if you're trying to run something else like FLE, that's another story...

I have the same thing, except the Go 7600. It should work if you just tell it to run anyways.
it just hit me what he's prolly trying to do. If I'm thinking right, he's trying to make different levels of torpedo's and mines like how the weapons have different levels.
no...ok, take what Mental has, but change that to something like for your site. I can see what you mean that it could end up like spam, but if we kept them small and limited them down to one with a few links under it like how my signature is, we shouldn't have a problem.

yeah......trying to do what you're doing is like flapping your arms trying to fly. To add a weapon class, you have to create a new line in the resources.dll, get freelancer.exe to recognize it, and I think there was something else, but honestly, I wouldn't even begin to try and do this. It'd be easier to just rewrite all the weapons, and make hp_weapon_10 just for it.

One thing I've been wondering if someone could do is help wit the engine colors. I hate trying to guess at what each one is.
