I have to agree with the targeting bugs on certain ships, the shield info cards, and one other thing that TheMachine spoke about in reference to the unlimited energy. I noticed last night on my server that one of my squadmates "cheated" legally. He went to Norfolk Shipyard and bought a Rheinland BB and then he went to the Battleship Yukon, stripped the energy core out of the BB, and placed it into the Slave 1. He had unlimited firepower and it just wasn´t cool to the rest of us (He got slagged really bad for his transgressions, then banned). Just though you´d like to know about this one. No other problems after 27 hours of play! Greatest combo of mods yet Rey! DoomSayer Sqd. Thx for the patch Reynen! Should have added more details: Installed with FLMM v1.2 Final Release And we´re not leveling up in the Nexus, because we can not even enter the Nexus from any of the system entrances. All files are being overwritten without any errors. When will the v.14 patch be released? DoomSayer Sqd. Ok Kbuhln, give us a bit to pour over the data and we´ll get back to you. DoomSayer ....and there shall come one, one who will speak your doom....

Kbuhln, I figured out what might be causing your problems. Based on what you´ve posted, you have a VIA-powered motherboard with an intergrated AC´97 sound card right? Well, after consulting with my t/s team, we might have a solution for you. You need to identify your motherboard manufacturer. Go to http://www.guru3d.com and download the Sandra 2003 freeware program. Use it to identify the m/b and then goto the m/b manufacturer website and download their latest CMOS/BIOS driver for your m/b. Flash your BIOS which will update the on-board audio codec that the AC´97 uses, then go to http://www.viaarena.com and download the "4-in-1 VIA Hyperion Driver Update". Contained in this update is the new Win XP drivers to correct the problems with the AC´97 conflicting with the audio codecs used by WinXP. After doing all this, you should be good to go. Reply to this if you´ve got any other questions or problems concerning this issue. DoomSayer ....and there shall come one, one who will speak your doom....

Kbuhln, on your spec sheet, you didn´t list a sound card type, but you might wnat to check and see it your sound card and the video card are sharing the same IRQ´s and memory addresses. Easiest way to check that is that on your desktop, click Start->Run->type "msinfo32" (without the quotes)->click on the + next to Hardware Resources->IRQs. If it´s not sharing an IRQ, then go to Conflicts/Sharing and check to see that it is not sharing any memory addresses. If this doesn´t help you out, post back here and I´ll keep digging around for more. Zapie, same goes for you on the sound card, because certain sound cards will conflict with the video card you have. I just retired mine because the GPU burned up. I was sharing an IRQ with my SB PCI 512. I´m now running with an Asylum GeForceFX 5200 Ultra and a SB Live 5.1, and I haven´t experienced any problems yet (178 hours of play time!!!!). Hint: Don´t have anything in the PCI port next to the AGP port, because your BIOS will have a tendancy of having those 2 ports share and IRQ and memory addresses together. Trust me, I found out the hard way by burning up my nVidia GeForce Ti 4200 and my SB PCI 512! DoomSayer ....and there shall come one, one who will speak your doom.... Edited by - DoomSayer on 12-06-2003 18:14:52

You have to start a new game because your current save games won´t recgonize the new format of the game you´re playing. Most mods I´ve delt with are like this. Hope this helps you out. DoomSayer ....and there shall come one, one who will speak your doom....

Zibo, check your drivers for the MX 440. I run a GeForce4 Ti 4200, but I don´t slow down, I crash! I loaded the unoffical 44.10 drivers in last night and no problems so far. Shut down all the apps you have running in the background, and change your PCI Texture Memory Allocation Size to 0 if your running it out of an AGP slot. That should boost your peformance a bit. For those of you who wish to experiment with nVidia Detonator driver versions for all nVidia video cards, there is a site out there that contains ALL the driver versions. Here´s the URL: http://www.guru3d.com Worfy, I feel for you. I´m using just about the same stuff with the exception that I have the AMD Athlon 1500+ XP. The 41.09 drivers were decent, but I just obtained the unoffical 44.10 Detonator drivers from that site, and I haven´t run into any problems yet. Hope it may help you all in the quest to find the perfect drivers for the game. - Doom "....and there shall come one, one who will speak your doom...."

I feel for you guys. I´m having the same problem and I noticed we 3 have something in common, nVidia video cards. Here´s my machine specs: Custom Built WinXP Pro w/SP1 AMD Athlon 1500 XP+ 512 MB DDRAM 2x 40 Gb HDD (Not RAIDed) nVidia GeForce 4 Ti 4200 w/128 Mb VRAM (Driver Version 29.85) Sound Blaster PCI 512 (WDM Drivers) DX v9.0a Losan, don´t mess with "ntdll.dll". It´ll wipe out your file heirarchy, and you´ll have to re-load WinXP completely. Learned that one the hard way. Serenity, I´ve done the same things you have, and taking it a few steps further, I found no solution, even forcing the vid card to run the drivers Microsoft supplied. But I did notice something odd, when I send the error report in every time it happens, it tells me there is a device driver conflict, but it can´t be more specific. F**kin Windows!!!!!!

Slap, The Starviper is incorprated into them mod and is available at Planet Los Angeles and Battleship Suffolk in New London. Th White Star Cruiser is not in the mod and must be added. Look at my instructions for installing it into FL. It is able to be purchased at Planet New Tokyo and Planet Los Angeles. Hope this helps you out! - Doom "....and there shall come one, one who will speak your doom...."

    1. D/L the Babylon 5 Ship Pack and change the filename to read "babylon5_ship_pack.zip" 2. Create a directory in FLDATASHIPS named "babylon" (it is CASE SENSITIVE!!!). 3. Extract the files whitestar.mat, whitestar.cmp, and whitestar.sur from the White_Star_Cruiser file in the zip archive into DATASHIPSabylon directory you just created. 4. Make a back-up copy of the r_cruiser.ini file located in DATASHIPSRHEINLAND directory and copy/paste the r_cruiser.ini located in the White_Star_Cruiser file into the directory just listed here in this step. 5. Now heres the kicker, there is a file in the zip archive named "extra.dll". Take that file and copy/paste it into the FLEXE file. 6. Change your Direct3D settings to mipmap at "Best Quality". 7. Run FLMM v1.1 and activate the "Ghost Docking RIng" mod so you can dock with planets. It will not conflict with FLRBM v1.0 Full. This will hard mod the game, so if you update the game, remove it before you do so. Enjoy! - Doom "....and there shall come one, one who will speak your doom...."
