  • Why FL is not a big seller

    i dont know about you guys but i bought my freelancer since the first day it was realeased here, cant exactly remember when, but up to now im still playing it, not bored with it, and in fact its still the greatest game ive ever played, i might have played some other games like KOTR, Neverwinter and other new games but still i came back to this game, muti play, mods, ive enjoyed it to the last bit of cash ive paid for it. and well i dont want to start it but i guess it was because of the mouse control, i hate targetting with joystick - it sucks, but this game i could aim quite well. and before i was not a space sim/rpg fan, it was just a favor to a friend but now i am.

    yep it is awsome, you can fight wars alongside your clanmates playing at different parts fo the world! and you can hunt down pirates and assins together, and the forums are hot !!! especailly when war is brewing, and especially when a baddie is around and announcing the players on his hitlist and saying that they are about to become space dust (hehehe). of course the clans will rally their pilots against this menace and the games begin... the baddie vs the clans. and there are old attritions left behind the previous wars so every now and then they surface and some players will be around for revenge killing spree targetting a specific clan. but peace among the clans is always been coveted... but behind that facade they are amassing weapons and credits, honing their skills, recruiting new blood... ...for war is always looming in the horizon...     turret view : this the moment when you enjoy the great space paintings rendered in the FL Sirius system, the moment when no NPCs are around and you relax and cruise your way through space and imagine if it would be like this for real and wish that you are out there smokin your way through the galaxy. this is the time when you reflect of how the great Commanders of the Enterprise and the x-wing and the tie fighter would feel during coffee breaks and relaxing in their bridge and cockpit. this is the moment where you look around and wonder when this will be really possible.... this is also the moment of ultra exciting, high octane, adrenaline pumping time when you try to kill those Hessians behind you while trying to escape with your precious cargo, while trying to press on the nano and the shilds batts, while trying to press the booster up, because all you have is the humpback, 250 units of beryllium and 23 credits to you name and your still in omega 3 !!!   • What´s the best Freelancer server?

    Hi, my multiplayer server is the great Fiik server, lots of nice people and baddie players, well they´re actually nice that is in OOC mode - Out Of Character mode. we have a main forum where players can discuss anything, of course mainly about the server and the game, and we have exclusive forums for the clans, we have scheduled races overseen by the Don himself - big prices to be won in the sound of millions, every now and then we have wars and conflicts and alliances, we have assasins trying to kill their specified targets, we have pirate players killing anyone onsight, we have taxes and tolls, we have roleplaying characters, one of the most famous - the great Jacen Tarek - you can roleplay with him and hunt/kill him (hehehe), we have Great Admins who takes care of us - that is another thing i am personally proud of, headed by the all around great guy himself - Slammer, and lots more. so if you want to have fun playing multiplayer i would encourage you to try the great Fiik Server and this is a no mods server, we have a sibling server the great Elite server and upcoming is our mod server opening soon.     same here, actually i was planning on buying that super big transport lying there in Battleship Matsumoto, so here i went trading with my humpback because i cant buy the domedary, those lane hackers wont let me in their base, and now i have 5.5mil but i cant buy the darn thing because it requires level 40, man after all the trading hours spent running back and fourth, getting my ass kicked by those hessians, all for naught... man i tell you, its frustrating... i tried to search for a mod but all i found was a code that would alter somekinda ini file i think, but gee all i know about modding here is intalling th FLMM and those great mods in here, thats it. i dont know squat about changing those ini dll or any other file for that matter. well... anyway thanks crabtree for this great compilation of mods, anyhow im still enjoying it... well im going for the xwing, and kick those hessians ass, payback time. unioners... your mine!!!

    hi crabtree i really enjoyed playing your mod and im quite facinated by the number of new ships available, wow 105 new ships!, is that true, so far ive seen the tie fighters the x wing and some others i cant remember. but i have a problem... i cant seem to get past level 38, and i cant buy some of the ships since they have a requirement of level greater than 38. did i miss anything? well please help me. =) thanks, zebra005

    hmmn... i dont know what this NEO clans did, but personally, i like the idea of a server with bullies, because then you´ll have a reason to play: beat the crap out of them and crush them, then after that you´ll be the big bully (hehehe), but of course all in the context of the game, the server rules must be followed which is sometimes quite easy and simple like no pvp in new york. i think these rules are there to prevent noobs and would be bullies to quit right away because they dont have a fighting chance, then they will think that this server sucks, and where would be the fun in that killing starfliers with your eagle. but outside new york then its a different ballgame. and &quot;The big guy´s foot on the little guy´s head&quot; will not always be the case because after 20 hrs of gameplay the little guy will get meaner and bigger, by then the not-so-big guy will pay. and guys lets not forget that this is only a game, lets have fun! &quot;Kill me now while you stuill have the chance, later you´ll be space dust behind my Sabre&quot;
