ok i fixed it. the problem was with the .cmp importer. it wouldnt export as long as i had the .cmp importer Liberty Confederation Council member. join us on the <A href=´http://www.excelcia.org´ Target=_Blank>excelcia server</a>.

i got the same problem now. i make model in gmax and export as MD3. then import in MS as MD3. add hardpoints + textures and save. then export as .CMP i get the save screen, enter a name for my model and click OK (or save whatever it says). after 10 sec i get an error and the program shuts down. what i do? i have version 1.6.6a. in an attempt to fix the problem i allreadt reinstalled MS. i had the same probleme. i caoldnt connect to the global server either. i got it to work though. i advise you check that all the correct ports are open. also what fixed it for me was mailing my ISP and asking them if they had the ports i needed open too.
