You could try purchasing it and getting a registration code from the author- I hear that works. Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

Check to see if you´ve got IPv6 set up on your NIC. Also, you only need 1 firewall running on your PC (I prefer Sygate Firewall to the Windows-included one)- an additional firewall doesn´t really make you more secure, just uses more resources and slows your internet down. Set your ´display threads from´ to 30 days and you´ll see another thread almost identical to your post. In it, you´ll find a reply stating, basically, That the amount shown for next level is the amount needed ABOVE your current worth, NOT total worth. if you hit the ´set filters´ button on the global list, and select ´filter out incompatible builds´ (or something like that) you´ll see any servers running the same mod you are. Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

I´ll be nice, since you haven´t posted much, but if you´ll set your ´show topics from´ to more than 10 days, you´ll see many posts that mirror your own. The amount to next level is the amount you need to get, not total value. Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

I´m not sure this is what you´re asking, but FLMM scripts can dynamically create a dll and related entries. the GENERATESTRRES (I think- it´s documented somewhere in FLMM´s stuff) command is the one that does that Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

HpDockMountA (B,C,etc) are the actual docking points where the game switches to the base view. HpDockingPointA01 (A02, B01, etc) are the path points to the corresponding DockMount. Defining a DockMount as a mooring point or as a ship ´berth´ is done in the base´s ini file entry. hey- I´ll try (work and test prep allowing, of course ) Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

There are mods where Tekagi´s Arch is dockable, but not in a ´vanilla´ FL installation. Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

I had this problem myself on a ship I put together. Check the loadout and be certain that all the entries are valid. I put on a couple lights that I thought were defined, but apparently weren´t. After I added the lights to the equip_lights.ini (IIRC), the ship worked correctly. Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

Since a projector is merely another display device, it would have no effect on the speed of the game. Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

That really long and "screwed-up" looking IP address is what you get with TCP/IP v6 ("IPNexGen" or some such). To get rid of that, open the properties page of your network card and uncheck the "Microsoft TCP/IP Version 6" checkbox- or remove the protocol entirely. BTW- Freelancer doesn´t recognize IPv6 addresses as valid, so to access the server, you´ll have to at least disable it. Maybe I should post this in the ´connecting problems´ thread. hmmmmm. again, level requirements state how much _more_ money you need to make to get to the next level, not total worth. Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

There have been several posts saying "I can´t get past <X> level- I have a lot more money than it says I need". The reply is always the same: That´s how much MORE money you need. Edited by - cjabates on 9/15/2005 5:52:17 AM

Go to the properties on your network card. If you see ´Microsoft TCP/IP version 6´ listed there, just uncheck the box.

Starman- for now, just find a ship with the same basic shape as your new model and use FL Model Tool to scale it to your ship. Argh, Harrier, Colin, and (I think) Anton are working on a sur exporter, but it´s not ready for prime-time, as it were. There´s a thread here somewhere about the progress.

Also, if you´re running WinXP, check to see if IPv6 is enabled on your network card. If it is, you´ll have to diable it (uncheck the box). Chris Bates Lead scripter, Stargate BFM: Freelancer

Check the tutorials forum- LOTS of info there about this stuff.
