actually those are the high pollie versions for rendering and X2(another game for modding). The lower ones are undersconstruction. but niether is more than 30,000, and with really good opt it will fall into the range of usuable. Sadly the carrier image here is already out dated as i have continued to build it more.

For that I will agree, I wish I had more time to learn skinning, but as I am done with one ship another is in my head and it drives me nuts until it is done. Really, I have four in progress and my carrier, similar to a PK Command Carrier, was started a few days ago and will be completed first. And my organic ships are last though the oldest so far. But there are a lot of ok modelers, some good one, a few great ones and few of the 3 tiers that can skin well.

I was thinking that since there are so many modelers here and skinners why not build a modeling concern, where there resources, in terms of people and where work can be exchange and knowledge cultivated. I know odd sounding but it could be fun.

Argh : Great ideas but unfortunately skinning is not my forte, i can build and detail likeno one´s business, but skinning still if fights me. Though any advice is much appreciated, i will research more into skinning and see what i can do. the dreadnought

Cold_Void : Actually I assembled the max build pieces in milkshape and fully optimized, the image is partially optimized, full is for the completed detailing, it is only about 6,000 pollies and is very well formed and detailed. So it will fly considering

Here is a new untextured ship called the MSAT, a transport build to both fly in space and make atmospheric landings and have the ability to walk on the surface for those deep range scout missions and scientific study, in addition to enemy ship breaching. Thanks for the input Argh, but I actually worked from memory on that ship, I once had the shots you made reference of but that was some time ago, I lost them somewhere on my hard drive, if I looked hard enough I could find them but I don´t care enough. I like to work from memory it helps to be creative and also it forces better problem solving and modeling techniques. Also I agree the texturing from the original ship, which was rather welcoming to those who watched the show was a little old and beaten looking, not something this class is in the Lathysian war, so more sleekness is required. And the back is the best part, I agree sleek and elegant but tough and durable. I have taken lately to building fighters; I wanted the opinion of the group on these designs, so please tell me what you think. Thanks for the suggestion regarding the turbines parabolix, and thanks for the compliment Argh. Do either of you have any texturing suggestions? any advice? This ship has taken a lot of work and reworking in order to get it to its current state and any texturing advice would be welcomed.
