I don't have problems with roleplay. What I'm not a fan of though, is forum roleplay.
Writing a 40 post "roleplay" story on a forum isn't roleplay, that's creative writing.
It's also a bad thing when gameplay gets tightly tied into forum roleplay, because then you end up with more paperwork and less time spent in-game. Such as getting several licenses so you can legally trade different commodities in different Houses. I mean, it might sound interesting but when you have to constantly haggle with other players over the forums for almost everything you get or do in-game, that's a bit much.
