I tried moving the entry further up in the file, since it was at the bottom. I tried placing it among the other entries pertaining to the same system to see if that was the problem, but it didn't make any difference. I still stuck with one lone bartender in the room.

If it helps any, I'll repost the now edited entry:

Sorry to bump and old thread, but I'm having a bit of a similar problem. Suffice to say, people aren't appearing in my bar when after comparing my mBases entry to the examples given here I could find little to no relevant differences. I'll post my mBases entry for you to examine:

The last NPC I copied directly from Freemodder's example only to see if it was something I did wrong with the NPC entries or if there was something wrong with the whole base. Also, this might not be important, but originally there was also a shipdealer with the base, but I deleted him and his room.

Is there anything here that might be out of order?

So which ones do? I thought at least the trade encounters would land/dock, but so far they've all been flying past the bases and/ and or docked with trade lanes and sped off somewhere else.

So THAT's what the problem was! I'd never have guessed. Thanks a lot! =)

There's one other problem: nobody seems to want to land at any of the new bases I make, nor do the bases ever asked for any sort of verification of identity and purpose from travelling ships. This leaves the systems seem pretty silent and dead. I have pop zones, but no patrols, is that what I'm missing?

Do I need some special program to do that? Because I've tried looking up the numbers in FL-IDs, but all that's showing up is a single name. Say that the first things I look up are the lastnames for Bretonian pilots: I type in 227008 in the search field and his search, but the only thing to pop up is "Adams". I'm pretty sure there are more names that only that, but I get the feeling that I'm doing something wrong. Am I supposed to use a different program?

    Oi, it's me again.

I've managed to construct/expand a reasonably good amount of systems with native factions flying around in them. Everything seems fine as long as everything is calm, but when there's supposed to be a fight, that's where the problem starts... my factions simply don't want to fire at each other.

It's perfectly fine if it's one of my homemade faction vs. a canon faction, say the Bounty Hunters Guild or the Nomads. But if two of my homemade factions are pitted against one another, nobody seems to be arsed to do anything. Say for example that the Hispanic Legion (the military of Hispania) and The Ascended (a neo-religious Nomad-worshipping cult made up of former Outcasts) hate each others guts, they're supposed to try and kill each other every chance they get, but whenever they do, they're just flying about without a care in the world. That's the problem: I want them to be bitter enemies, not hippies!

I'll post the relevant entries, so you might check it out and perhaps find a problem that' simply passed me by.

    Here's the initialworld.ini entry:

    And here's the empathy.ini entry:

IIRC, I based the Hispanic navy off of the Rheinland Military and The Ascended off of the Outcasts.

    Thanks beforehand!

Well, after looking through the files you mentioned, I still wasn't able to find anything related to cloaking, at least not on the order ships (there were cloak references for Nomad ships). For clarity's sake, I can post the part of the loadouts.ini with the Order ships.

These are the one's I've been attempting to use, as well as freemodder's example. Is there anything here that I'm missing?

The npcships.ini entry is identical to freemodder's btw.

I'm also having problem making my Order ships appear. I've experimented a little to see which problem I might have. I'm guessing it's something about the Anubis being cloaked by default since when I added Sabres to the Order faction_prop entry, the Order did appear in Sabres.

I've done the same as freemodder has, even going so far as to copy the examples given here, but I still can't make them appear. How do I remove the cloak from the Order ships?

Thanks for all the replies so far. :)

What I was thinking of was more along the lines of "Train 'Santiago de la Compostela'", "Large Transport 'La Serena'", "Transport 'Sierra Nevada'" and "Armored Transport 'Pico de Aneto'". I intending on using names the have strictly to do with Spanish localities and geographic features... perhaps also Portuguese.

Right now however, I have "Armored Transport 'Erzgebirge'" and "Large Transport 'Saßnitz'" being escorted around by Off. Manuel Gonzalez-Aybarra and Co. XD

    Oi!

I've been toying around with trying to make a mod of my own and I'm currently in the process of building up a Hispanian house. I have however, come across as slight problem. It's not bit, it's actually just cosmetic, but it really disrupts any sense of immersion. Thing is, I've been making some new factions, companies to be specific, that I want to fly around in trains and transports and the like and while I've managed to get them to do that, all their ships have names from Rheinland or Liberty or Bretonia or some other place. I want the ships to have Hispanic names, so is there anybody out there who knows where I can find any such?

    Thanks beforehand! :)
