    The Mod Manager is FLMM is 1.3 at momment
    also
    EOA Patch QuickFix-v1.0c -- though some mods dont need this

    and then you have to decide what you want in a Mod there are plenty out there
    -- close to the original
    or a complete rehash of everything
    or somewhere in the middle
    -- combat -- ship types -- scifi universe

    I am into scifi ships -- one of the reasons I love freelancer -- and i was bumming and found this site

    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://conceptships.blogspot.com/2009/04/more-concept-ships-from-andree-wallin.html">http://conceptships.blogspot.com/2009/0 ... allin.html</a><!-- m -->

    it has a number of nice picks and art work of ships and SciFi settings -- you have to go into the prev posts to see more ships -- i thought that a couple could be modded into FL

    BTW -- when you get the Mod loaded up there is a Transit system -- and it has a ridiculous high radiation rate -- the mod is not broken -- it was designed that way intentionally -- you cant get across it till your in a way better ship with arnmour and shields

    and it is a really great mod -- I love the freelancer bases -- you have to find the bribe with the right bar tenders in each system -- but it gives you a private place to land with great equipment

    mmmmm Sidewinder Fang

    Anyway I think that a bit of universal Irony is about to unfold -- it seems that the US Navy has proved the Cold Fusion Experiment -- and that would be our ticket to cheap energy and the stars -- and important to FL is that a small Cold Fusion engine could power a small ship

    I believe in cold fusion for ironic reasons --we spend physco amounts of time energy and money building huge lasers and containment fields and then we find nature does it dirt cheap and easily usable electro-magnetically-chemical

    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.sciam.com/blog/60-second-science/post.cfm?id=after-20-years-new-life-for-cold-fu-2009-03-23">http://www.sciam.com/blog/60-second-sci ... 2009-03-23</a><!-- m -->

    " One team, led by Pamela Mosier-Boss, an analytical chemist at the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, has announced visual evidence of a fusion-like reaction. "If you have fusion going on, then you have to have neutrons," Mosier-Boss said in a statement. “People have always asked 'Where's the neutrons,'" she said, and in their presentation, they reported finding evidence of these neurons. By exposing a special kind of plastic to the reaction, patterns of minute dents (or "triple tracks" that show three close nearby forms) were made by excited neutrons created from a nuclear reaction, they report. "

    Now we just have to find natural occuring jump ( worm ) holes and well a few other things

    I suggest you go to the forums at the discovery web site to ask specific questions

    There is a battlestar in the Mod its a Zoner battleship i think -- its somewhere in the omegas off bretonia and you can also go to the archives and get the freelancer companion --a handy little tool that shows you the map and whats in it and lays out the trade patterns -- or for a complete cheat you can get FLdatastorm V4.0 which shows you everything

    in the books and the empire of man series by pournelle also -- the shields absorb energy somehow and radiate it as heat energy the brighter they glow the more they absorb vs radiate they are dull black ( lack of energy ) at rest and when they become to bright they collaspe and let all the stored energy in frying the ship

    I'm around -- been workin -- and playin around with Frontier Space
    as for your pic
    A fine fellow no doubt -- but personally i dont know him -- Zebra by the looks -- ancestral horse not an american modern sofisticate like myself

    did you add the addendum files -- their is one for ross 154 which is where you crash -- their are like 4 in total i dont know if they come with the original download -- they were posted in a separate thread as part of a help

    So old Taw's a Geordie Boy ?? or whatever its spealt -- not one of those soft london fellows -- i am an irish street crawlin 3rd gen work class boyo myself -- none of them fancy uptown ways --

    heres a song for you off Mark Knopfler's Ragpickers dream album
