My birthday is May 24.

This should be in the spoiler forum, but anyway...if you go to http://www.arbiter.de, you can get a map that will show you the exact location.

The Ripper Mine Launcher can only be salvaged from some of the Outcast wrecks in Omicron Alpha. Look around the Unknown Jump Hole. If you´re stuck and need a map, go to http://www.arbiter.de. As far as I know, the Ripper is the most powerful homing mine (not to mention the most powerful mine overall) in terms of damage. There are probably more cost-effective alternatives though. Hope this helps. Edited by - njhockeyboy on 6/1/2005 1:04:52 PM

Kill bounty hunters, police, and xenos. That should get you a good enough rep to at least visit Junker bases. Just be careful not to kill to many of the factions I mentioned or the Zoners will hate you.

Padua is up in Galileo, near Leiden (a Lane Hacker base). It´s in one of the debris clouds. If you want a map, just download Datastorm or go to http://www.arbiter.de Edited by - njhockeyboy on 5/30/2005 3:35:05 PM

Lots of money for little work, probably. I never liked trading. It´s kind of boring, unless you purposefully travel through enemy territory in a weaker ship to increase the challenge (which really defeats the purpose of trading). Otherwise, it´s just easy money.

No, it´s impossible to travel from one system to another without a jump gate or jump hole. Someone once said that they made a jumpdrive, but it turned out to be a hoax. You can, however, raise your speed so that you can travel very fast. It´s actually pretty easy. Just ask in the editing forums. Edited by - njhockeyboy on 5/30/2005 5:17:09 AM

Well...that´s strange. I suppose the law does make sense for the reasons that you stated, but at the same time, it seems kind of silly for people to have to pay if a chicken gets out. They did get the fine dismissed, but that was on a technicality... I think the real debate here is this: why did the chicken cross the road? (sorry, but this topic was begging for it)

That´s two words, Nighthound, "open" and "SP"...maybe even three, since SP stands for Single Player . Anyway, to expand on that a little...there isn´t really any way that you can be a bad guy and still progress in the game. You have to do Juni´s missions to accomplish anything, including opening jump gates/holes. What you can do, as Nighthound pointed out, is use Open SP. It´s basically Freelancer without the storyline. Everything is open, and in some cases, you can choose where you start and what equipment/ship you start with. You can also play some of the mods. A lot of them give you the opportunity to be part of different factions, including pirate groups. The downside is that there isn´t really a storyline. The choice is yours. Have fun! Which one was the EY3...the one Anakin and Obiwan were flying at the beginning?
-
Wow...this is fantastic! It´s really well-written. I also especially love the cardamine tie-in to your other story. Excellent work!

Happy Birthday!

Excellent story, one of the best I´ve read! Keep up the good work!

Happy Birthday DarkShadow!

I´ll be the Hutts, the big tubs of lard. When does it start? And what is the gameplay like? Is it similar to CYOF, with stuff like managing fleets, or is it more roleplay-oriented? Anyway, looks cool, I can´t wait!

I liked it...much better than the other two (although I did like those a lot). They did a great job not leaving any loose ends, as just about everything that happens that leads up to Episodes IV, V, and VI is explained. The only thing that didn´t make sense was this: *****slight spoiler***** Amidala is worried about having a baby. Um, I suppose that she could be morally opposed to this, but...they´ve mastered spaceflight but not abortion? I mean, come on, it´s way into the future. We can do it now...in the future, do they lose this ability? Overall, though, great movie. Everyone should definitely see it...I´ll probably see it again before it leaves theaters. One thing´s for sure: R2D2 kicks way more *ss than anyone else (except maybe Yoda). Edited by - njhockeyboy on 5/21/2005 11:55:57 PM

Unifying currencies ties the economic fates of the member nations together. It would seriously affect us if we decided to share our economy with rapidly failing economies since our money would quickly become worth much, much less. Basically a bad harvest year in Germany and France would adversely affect the UK as the value of the Euro dropped.

<font face=´trebuchet ms, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica´ size=2> What if these rapidly failing economies that are mentioned in the above quote decided to print money (as has been done in the past)? This would have a terrible effect on the rest of the world, since it would create mass-inflation worldwide rather than in just one country. It would definitely be better for each country to keep its own currency. I´m not even crazy about the idea of a continental currency like the Euro. There´s just too much room for the mistakes of other governments to hurt your own country´s economy. Besides, I would imagine that exchanging current currencies for a universal currency would be extremely difficult. Some countries wouldn´t choose to accept it at first while others would...I just think it would get too complicated. And it´s not like it´s that difficult or time-consuming to exchange money (or at least not in my limited experience). Basically, I vote against the idea of a worldwide currency.
