I don´t think i´ve ever gotten a headache in my life. Seriously, unless you count hangovers. My last g/f had migraines, and she could be incapacitated from them. I can´t imagine how they must feel.

Vektrix The most I can say that if you have the inkling that you might have some sort of ADHD or major self-esteem problems (not stuff like "My team lost the game, I´m so depressed), there´s definitely no harm in getting screened. But, like you sa

@ Wizard: Your observations are correct. Psychology has a very large female-to-male ratio here at my university and yes, many of them are hot <img src=smilies/icon_smile_to

Sorry about the censor, I never use them normally, and I figured it wasn´t on the list @ Fallen Angel: I am over-thinking it And you´re right, bi-polar is definitely not something to take lightly, but as they say: the more you know, the more you worry Edited by - Sylverfysh on 9/26/2005 3:39:13 PM

You have no idea how many times I go through this conversation: So What are you studying? "I´m a psychology major." Oh...Uh, you´re not diagnosing me are you? *Sigh* "Don´t worry I´m not" Whether they´re joking or not, it´s old. VERY old. Sometimes I tell people I´m a business major just so I don´t have to go through the same motions. I noticed that strangers when they find I´m studying psychology start acting a little strange. A little "Leave it to Beaver-ish" if you know what I mean. My friends pretty much act the same, but sometimes I take little notes on scratch paper and peer at them just to be a **** With psychology I too pick apart media. Specifically advertisements. They´re so much psychology that goes into those things it´s not even funny. And car salesmen when you´re out on a lot...ESPECIALLY car salesmen. I´ve honestly thought about using my powers for evil as well and joining the media in selling useless junk to the masses because I´m saying the right things and showing them what I know will get them to buy. EDIT: Yeah the magic is kinda gone for me too, especially love. Psychology tries to explain it, but all it does is make it seem less special EDIT 2: Woah, since when is "krej" censored? Edited by - Sylverfysh on 9/26/2005 3:01:56 PM

I´m with ya, I get chills thinking about people wearing someone who´s deceased´s face. That´s just not right.

Then I should´ve done Computer Science instead of Diagnostic Psychology. Is computer science like mathematics? If it is, then that must be fun All that "black and white" An answer is wrong in math, or it isn´t. ...psychology..."Could be"..."Seems to be"..."Depending on"..."Affected by numerous factors"...pfft! Blah... P.S. - I have my DSM-IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Fourth Edition) now. If any of you start to show any sort of mental health problems...I´ll know...*queue mysterious music*

I´m in college, and I can honestly say two things: 1) Over-simplification, I dunno, never ran into it 2) Text books are hard to understand because there aren´t students writing these things. They´re PhD´s or other people high up in the level of academics. Frankly, I find not only are textbooks sometimes trying too hard to sound "smart" they´re WAAAAAY over priced. I know every college students gripes about it, but seriously, when I pay $122 for a textbook, and the university bookstore buys it back at $47, then puts a "used" sticker on it, and then puts it back on the shelf for $99 I get pretty peeved. I´ve had a couple professor´s who have outright said (against the university´s policy...they wanna make money too...) "Don´t buy the textbook, or if you do share the cost with a friend. You´ll learn a lot more in here, than in those books." Also, I´ve had some classes where they just throw out a frew chapters because they make no sense. Funny. I suppose my professors could be complete doofs who don´t understand the material, but for 24,000 a year (Don´t even get me started on THAT one...) I would hope that I´m getting what I´m paying for. So yes, I agree. Textbooks, as far as I´m concerned, are needlessly complicated.

Ahh Amedeus, that´s where you´re wrong You see, my silencer uses state of the art cheeson-macaronix processors (also patent pending) that creates over 3000 distinct movie silencer noises randomly whenever a key is pressed. Therefore, the only way to decode the device is to take it apart, rip out the CM Processor, and create some sort of un-silencer to attach to the silencer already attached to the keyboard. I for one, will not be letting anyone near my keyboard. Besides, the new device also has telepathic powers...Yeah, that´s cool - telepathic powers. That doesn´t allow it to be used for evil and all that such. Besides, they´ll come in over 30 cool colors. You know you want a glow in the dark one. EDIT: BTW, if the US Gov really wants to spend half a billion dollars (hint, hint, *cough*iwantmoney*cough*), then they should simply buy a quarter billion of my silencers. Only two dollars each! A real steal! Edited by - Sylverfysh on 9/20/2005 8:53:32 PM

Wouldn´t going out and buying a gun be the same type of action that brought around all of the fear of people running around with guns in the first place? You know what really makes me sick? How reporters down IN New Orleans, AROUND all the devastation, are setting up their little cameras, checking their hair and make-up, go on air, talking about how all these people need all of this help, and then as soon as they are done with their live feed, BAM pack up and LEAVE ! Geez! Why beat around the bush? Those reporters might as well go up to some of those people and say "Thanks! All this air time is REALLY helping out my career, kudos, good luck and whatever!" And then punch them in the gut. Might as well, if they´re going to be a pricks, might as well go big. And like I said before, this looting is really making me sick. New Orleans´ 1500 police had to switch from search and rescue to controlling mobs and looting. A news article I read spoke about how some residents tried to steal an MP´s rifle, and he got shot in the leg. The U.S. National guard has graciously sent 100 troops to help coordinate the tens of thousands of people left in New Orleans. All we need now is Mel Gibson to reprise his role of Mad Maxx, and we´re all set. EDIT: Just had an evil conspiracy thought. What if the government is purposefully letting crap go out of hand and let people shoot each other because New Orleans is a poverty stricken city:

New Orleans has one of the highest poverty rates of any of America´s big cities. According to a report by Total Community Action, a New Orleans public advocacy group, nearly one out of three New Orleans residents live below the poverty level, the majority of who are black. A spokesperson for the United Negro College Fund noted that the city´s poor live in some of the most dilapidated, and deteriorated housing in the nation.

<font face=´trebuchet ms, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica´ size=2> - From Click here I would think most of the people who didn´t leave New Orleans were not people who didn´t want to, but people who couldn´t (no car, no other place to stay or go, etc.) Wouldn´t it be horrible if secretly the government was letting all this violence and death happen because it´d get rid of some of the "lower level society"? Then you could conveniently blame it on the natural disaster. I don´t mean to say this to offend anyone, but the lack of federal cooperation in this disaster is disturbing. Beautiful isn´t it? Hundreds at least, perhaps thousands dead, millions of people without homes, people still needing rescue, and what are people doing? Looting every single store they can get into. In a larger version of this photo on msn.com, you can see that those two women are smiling - SMILING!? Yes, be very proud that you´ve just commited a crime and got away with it on the suffering of others. <img src=´http://images.ctv.ca/archives/…0/160_looters2_050830.jpg ´> "Now I can stash all of this stuff I stole in my hou-...oh wait...it´s GONE." *Clap, Clap, Clap* I really hate humans sometimes. The Authoritative Calvin and Hobbes: A Calvin and Hobbes Treasury The Essential Calvin and Hobbes: A Calvin and Hobbes Treasury The Pretty Good Jim´s Journal Treasury All of the above for the following reasons: 1. You never outgrow your favorite sunday comics. 2. Jim´s Journal is so bland it´s hilarious.

Yeah, i´ve been hearing/reading quite about this hurricane. Sounds nasty. As for your apocolyptic prediction I´m not so sure it would go that far, but hey, it could happen, I´m no economist. Yeah, people will die. But people die everyday in other countries, by the hundreds. I´m not saying I don´t care if people die by Katrina, just that death is a daily happening. Sorry if this comes out as being critical, I´m tired, and didn´t want to beat around the bush No hard feelings intended P.S. TET - Hilarious Yes, I see we´ve come upon some very interesting evidence here for want, nay need, of more pirates. I for one am doing my part: Linky! As you can see I am the dashing pirate-in-training to the right. The grand fellow to the left is my chief Pirate Sensai - Maxwell. Quite the dastardly swashbuckler I must say. I told him to smile, but he insisted on scowling and squinting one eye. I did however get my own pistol. Yaarr! Walk the plank! Rescusant - Of course I haven´t forgotten the grog and wenches! Until then maties! My thoughts and prayers go out to those people as well. After watching the news coverage this brings back strong memories of 9/11 here in the US. Again, I´m feeling silent anger at those responsible. Unthinkable. I just don´t understand how some people can perpetrate these acts.
