    its not coding problem to fix, its that mod maintainer/designer didnt watned that mod to b used to host on different server then his
    so basicaly its not problem to fix that with minimal editing of freelancer.exe, but i think it should b more polite to use mod which is designed to run on different public licence

    Taw what happened to that missle uv fired from ur independent republic, it ended up detected as korean, i think you should do some announcement, u see usa is again blamin korea for missle....

    since lancersreactor is under constant attack by malicious ppl, it is auto banning script in apache,
    its abit strict but its needed untill they simply give up,
    it got you autobanned, it should b fine now..

    this is what you need to do


    you have to put your router into halfbridge (portforward)
    explictly forward ports 2302 from router WAN to your ip 192.168.... and port 2302


    now you connect to your server with switch
    ....\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe -s192.168.1.178:2302 (or whatever is your private lan address)
    and then check what is your external ip address
    for instance go to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.whatismyip.com">http://www.whatismyip.com</a><!-- w -->
    tell that ip address to your friends
    and they shoud connect to your WAN address
    for that use same line as for your local lan, but supstitute 192.... with external ip address

    i dont agree with wodka at all about multiplayer
    i think that automated bot would b EXCELLENT thing for mulitplayer
    since this sounds like strange, i will give explanations.


    here it is.
    there is zero impact on roleplay if robot keeps trading
    there is excellent benefit for playernumber on server where ppl can be relaxed while bot trades for them
    robot wouldnt reduce time of player ingame, it would just decrease time needed to b binded to computer while trading
    robot CANT teach you how to trade, for that you need to know what/where to trade
    there are possiblity to protect trading routest in mod with asteroids, or similar
    and above all
    wile ur in multiplayer robot wouldnt make u safe at all, if you are ambushed and afk u will end up DEAD....


    so PLEASE if you know-how, make bot, we shell include it in flguilds mod with full credits ofcourse, and we can test how it affects multiplayer.


    without offence wodka has no clue about trading, and most of server admins dont...
    i personaly like trading, and have changed alot of aspects of trading to make it game for itself inside game,

    i havent tryed what bot does in current release but i LOVE idea...

    this is rly excellent work, if you would like you could make section in forums for stuff like this, basicaly it would be excellent if you would explain process of making such thing as robot/recognizer, rly rly excellent work


    also i dont agree that robot should be adressed as lame, making such kind of code is extreamly hard, and requires excellent knowlage in coding and above all alghoriyhming .


    by all means this kind of work is more then excellent...


    please give more insight into this theme...


    if its possible make some detailed coding how-to or similar...

    site can autoshrink picture, that is not point, its point that it unecessery loads server, with general 60 instances of concurent user making box shrinking picture is totaly unecessery load,
    basicaly by making only 1 shrinking of picture its same as 30ish mysql / http requests... which for only 1 avatar showring on page it will make 30 times more load... i hope u would agree that this is totaly UNECESSERY for same output, (shrinked picture apears same as smaller picture, theres no differance to looks).


    point is just to make ppl upload it smaller format.


    to shrink picture you can use almost everything, including eaven wordpad...
    its 0 effort for user, and its HUGE impact on heavy loaded server..


    i hope this explains, and i hope you will have understanding for this small change.

    you can run local server and play without problems
    one of you can be host of server and both of you connect to that server
    one of you run server,
    same guy runs client (game and connects to itself)
    and other gun connects to first gun server
    mulityplayer runs default like end of storyline, all reputations are same as on the end of storyline
    there is no differance except there you can play with your friend
    to do missions in tandem, you need to make group
