    you have mods link on front page, you have probably missed it,
    there is still about 16GB of mods hosted here.

  • SERVER

    running internet server is not childs play, so u first need to consider if ur able to run it
    here is what u need to know for start
    by priorities:!
    1. bandwidth (both) up/down stream, adsl is unusable for running public server due to asymetric bandwidth
    2. high end router hardware which can maintain heavy traffic without lag
    3. 24/7 stable server box, deditcated hardware, with enough of ram/processor power
    4. server side tools for maintaining/protecting server stability
    5. usable community webspace


    first answer this fiew questions then we can proceed
    good luck, and dont hesitate to ask more if u have sorted this out.

  • single player completed?

    first 18 lvl are not game at all,
    thats only training missions...
    game is openended it has NO end in single player
    first 18lvl are ONLY trainer
    there is no more storyline, u can now fly around fight explore... etc....

    that is very good data, please write short and easy to understand wiki here please so it easy for new server admins to find it.
    doesnt need to b something fancy make it just clear and short.

  • Help in Multiplayer

    since listserver is now closed by MS you can use workaround click on front page to fllisterver icon, or if u know which server you would like to connect to you can use switch in freelancer command line
    for instance
    -sMyServerName.com:2302

  • Help with flserver

    to change server version u need to hax exe itself, for just testing it is not needed at all, its basicaly needed ONLY if u want to restrict ur players not to b able to connect to ur server and others server using ur mod. so untill u fully develop mod, and ur certin that ur server will b crashed by vanila clients and that ur mod crashes vanila servers u doNOT need to change server version. leave that for the end.
    basicaly change of flserver is NOT needed at all. but if ur certin that ur mod will damage vanila servers pls do change server version but leave that for the end.

  • Slow load

    basicaly u can always instruct ur players to use shortcut instead of global search.
    that way players connect directly to ur box ip address through lan connection, and u avoid need to contact global server.

  • Server Crash

    delete ur save games thats crashing ur client most probably,
    wodkas cloak works ONLY on wodkas server, its designed that way
    so it cannot b used as cheat

    tech* will not interfere with community at all, its only tech stuff, you are most welcome to posting tutorial magnet
    if others wish its exactly what this community needs to work, however tech* wont interfere with it, for all coordination,
    if coordination is needed, contact MentalChaos.
    imo its the best policy to put as much as u can when u have time guys/girls,basicaly years have passed some
    tutorials are obsolete now, its best to put most recent information on stuff anyway.
